This beautiful home was recently rebuilt following the devastating Holiday Farm Fire of 2020 and is ready to welcome you to the scenic splendor of the McKenzie River. This inspiring riverfront cabin blends modern architecture with fantastic outdoor amenities that will make you feel like you’re floating on water! The cabin is ideal for two couples or a group of fishing buddies. Guests enjoy easy water access for fishing, rafting, or kayaking and the homes are midway between McKenzie Bridge and the Springfield/Eugene area, just 37 miles away.

Inside the cabin, dramatic, cozy lounge furniture makes the open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen an inviting retreat from the river and surrounding woods. Wind your own fishing flies from the comfort of the sofa or find yourself watching a movie on cable. An electric fireplace keeps the space intimate and down to earth. Complimentary in-home WiFi makes it easy to stay in touch on social media, browse the web, or catch up on some remote work. Celebrate meals as a group while the phenomenal views feed your senses around the charming wood dining table. Meal prep is made easier with help from a well-stocked kitchen and there's additional seating at the breakfast bar. Once the plates are cleared, leave the cleanup to the dishwasher while you dive into a good book by the fire or get lost in a puzzle or game. The cabin has a full kitchen and living room overlooking the river.

Outside, the cabin’s deck is built as though it’s floating on the McKenzie River! Choose between the beach firepit or the outdoor grill to roast hot dogs (it’s more fun on a stick) or s’mores by nightfall. Kick up your feet on the outdoor furniture and let the flow of the river wash away your worries.

When not relaxing on the decks, the river and surrounding region provide ample opportunity for outdoor recreation! Catch your fishing limit of trout, steelhead, or salmon from the banks of the river, just steps away from the decks, or hire an area guide for a truly memorable experience. Nearby is Tokatee Golf Club, ranked as one of the best in the US, the McKenzie River Trail, ranked the number one mountain biking trail in the US, Hoodoo Ski Resort and Cougar Dam, and Hot Springs. Plan a day trip on the trails and playground at Spencer and Skinner Butte Park. Alton Baker Park is a popular spot for canoeing and provides a boat launch and dog park in the Springfield / Eugene area. For a bit of history and educational exhibits visit Dorris Ranch to learn about the Pioneers or the Cascade Raptor Center to learn about birds of prey. Nearby Springfield and Eugene are brimming with culture and feature art galleries, craft breweries, nightlife, and family-friendly entertainment. The University of Oregon has year-round educational and sporting events.

Just Say No
Place was not clean on arrival - sheets in piles all over the home, used towels on the floors in the bathrooms, unmade beds, dishes in the sink. That was just "one" of many issues to happen at this property ... I was on a long drive to reach this destination. Check-in time was 4 PM. Right after 4 PM, I received a call from an unknown number and did not pick up (I never do). Apparently the property management company was calling - AFTER CHECK-IN TIME - to let me know the property had not been cleaned and that they had found another place for me to stay that was several miles away. Anyway, unfortunately, I didn't get that message. So I arrived to my planned destination, exhausted after hours and hours of driving only to find not only an unclean home, but also the following: 1) Gate code was not accurate 2) WiFi information was completely wrong 3) TV was not working / not set up to work w/the WiFi 4) EV charger was not compatable with my car 5) No obvious way to turn on the electric "stove" / heater 6) Very little in terms of amenities in the kitchen - just a few pods of coffee and Sweet & Low sweetener. NOTHING else. Pots/pans very basic. I got lots of idiotic "bot" replies to my complaints. I'd write more here, but I'm limited in space. I did speak w/1 human who offered me a $100 refund. In short, you can do much better staying away from this property & management company.
