"Comfortable hotel in a terrific location"
Club perks of full real fast, use of club room, & free internet, were worth the extra bucks. Regardless of efficiency, most of the staff seemed very unhappy

"Short business trip - October 2015. "
Short business stay in a nice area, but on a busy street. Hotel and rooms are clean - 5th floor room seemed recently renovated. Corridors are tight. Couldn't find the toiletries but used my own so not a big problem. Breakfast was simple but adequate.

Mercure London Bridge Hotel

"Hotel well placed for Southband Activities"
We stayed here as we were eating out with the family at the Shard. The hotel is well placed for the Southbank. The reception is operated by staff using tablets, who have a work table base but who move to the guest rather than the reverse - nice touch. Room was clean and quite spacious offering some complimentary soft drinks as well as tea/coffee. Breakfast buffet was well supplied. Would certainly stay here again. Only issue was the aircon seemed unable to cool the very well

Kingsway Hall Hotel - London Hotels

Kingsway Hall Hotel

66 Great Queen Street, London - Map
"Good location in the centre of London. "
Only stayed 1 night found it expensive and we had £40 overnight parking and congestion charge to pay for being in the centre of London. We liked the room and it was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was very disappointing for both myself and my husband and although we both chose different dishes within an hour we both had tummy upsets. Not good.

"Lovely, modern hotel"
Quiet area but not too far from Big Ben and shops so location was good. Clean room which had a king size bed which was unexpected although did book a superior room which wasn't ready on time so I think they had to compromise but I didn't mind due to the room being up to our standards. Really enjoyed our stay.

    Where to stay in London?

Samuel Johnson once said that when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life. Considering the buzzing energy of this capital city, it’s true that if London bores you it might be time to check your pulse. From a thriving theatre scene in the West End to thumping night clubs near Piccadilly Circus, London has something for everyone. Dive into the museums, take a tour of the historic Parliament building along the Thames, and savour a fine meal at any number of impressive restaurants. As if that weren’t enough, the Camden Lock and Portobello Road markets turn any lazy Sunday into an adventure.

    Travel Basics

London is serviced by several airports, the largest of which is Heathrow (LHR). You can also fly into London Gatwick (LGW), London Luten (LTN), and Stansted (STN), which are a bit farther from the city centre. Regardless of which airport you fly into, you can reach London proper via train, coach, or car.

    Plan Your Getaway to London

Whether you are on a quest to soak up some art, taking a culinary tour, or just want to ride an iconic red bus, London is always a good idea. London eludes definition. A place of extremes and contradictions, it has transformed from robustly English capital to truly multicultural city. Having experienced Renaissance, revolution, and revival, and survived fire, plague, and war, the city has a pretty interesting history, the best of which it holds on to. Visit its monuments and museums and you'll come across ancient and modern London, and learn about its wealth, poverty, ambitions, reality, and make-believe. From the Tower of London to Buckingham Palace, the major monuments pull in the crowds, but make sure you take some time to explore its back alleys, quiet squares, and colorful markets.

    Art in the city

As red buses, black cabs, and pigeons encircle Trafalgar Square, there is no mistaking where you are. Stop by the National Gallery to look at some of the world's finest artworks, ranging from Leonardo's meticulous sketches to Turner's chromatic landscapes, or for a fix of modern art, visit the converted Bankside power station, the Tate Modern. The gallery covers art from 1900 to the present day, and its enormous Turbine Hall displays specially commissioned works.

    Razzmatazz and all that jazz

Finding entertainment in London is as easy as finding books in a library. In the West End theater district, you can choose from musicals, theater, and comedy shows. Based on the songs of the band Queen, We Will Rock You is currently showing at the Dominion theater. From April to October, you can see some of Shakespeare's greatest plays in the faithfully reconstructed Globe theater. It's no surprise that London attracts influential artists from all musical genres; and you can listen in pubs, theaters, basements, arenas, churches, and parks.

    Serious shopping and hearty meals

There's great shopping throughout the city. From high-end Harrods to cheap and cheerful Camden market, the city caters to every budget and taste. When it comes to food, the same rule applies, so whether you're after a comforting English breakfast, a reviving curry, or tea at the Ritz, you'll never run out of options.

The London Eye will give you a bird's-eye view of the river Thames looping through the capital, as well as the city's many parks. In a city of skyscrapers, buildings on top of buildings, and crowded public transport, London is thankfully protective of its beautiful green spaces. Find everything from rose garden to meadow and woodland in its eight Royal Parks, which offer free guided walks to explore the flora and fauna, and trace the city's royal, political, and literary associations.
