"Great View"
Nice view, rooms good. Just a bit old. But great value for the price. The surrounding big name hotels charge a fortune and don't even have a spa bath tub room. I spent 3 quarters less than the big names had an ocean view and a spa in my room. Cant beat that!

"All we needed!"
We wanted a place to stay that was in the heart of Surfers Paradise, clean, comfortable, and a pool, as it's been so hot lately. We got all of this at the Watermark Hotel. Friendly staff too! Very happy.

"Not as expected. "
Hotel is five star ..whilst i check in..i got ocea view on 16th floor as requested but ..i was disappointed with my room as it was 3 star room which was not showen on expedia whilst booked. Room really need refurbishment. Specially bathroom is not five star. The whn i checked in bathroom amenities plate was dusty n it had face washers placed with hair sitting on it; they changed it once i mentioned. I asked for bed linen change but it was not changed. Leatherwood Bed head has holes. Garden Kitchen and Bar new restaurant is good but it has limited food items in menu. I orderd club sandwiches -vegetarian with no egg no garlic-onion ..whn i got my meal it has mayonnaise in it and cheese was missing :(. I asked to re make it ..when i got back meal ..it was ok but they disnt put cheese again :-( Dear New resturant staff :-( should pay attention whilst taking order from customers. .

"Great location but run down hotel"
This is a good hotel. It's in a good location, but the facilities and rooms are old and worn down. The ceiling of the shower is super low. If you're 6' you will need to crouch in the shower. Perhaps this was only my room.

"Quick break"
One night stay in good location. Arrived early and got pool key. Enabled beach time before check in. Staff were very helpful and engaging. Nothing fancy but this old hotel is still competitive in the market.

"Great hotel, central, sea views "
We stayed for a long weekend at the Mariott. The entrance way is grand, we were invited to a welcome glass of bubbles and some chocolates when arriving. Checked in and arranged a package deal for free movies and breakfasts for our stay. The room was very large with large bathroom with separate shower and bath, Walk in wardrobe. Small balcony with sea views and views over the natural sea pool they have on site. Just one small comment on this the hotel doesn't seem to have been built to take in the sea views so you have a side on view and also it would have been much better if it was on the beach front. There are a few others that are - Soul and the Sheraton but we have not stayed at these so can not comment. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. On site dining - we had breakfasts and a dinner one night. The dinner was quite expensive but for someone who likes seafood it would be worth it. The breakfasts had plenty of choices - once again quite expensive. Just one small comment on the staff - they wear black jeans - it would look much better for the hotel if they wore black dress trousers. The outdoor pool and sea pool are great. The hotel staff are accommodating for the things you need. Would stay here again.

"Nice view of the ocean and city; close to beach"
Nice view, important bits were clean (bed, bathroom). Unfortunately most of the other things lacked - stained couch, dirty window frames/handles and AC. For all intents and purposes, it was good enough for its price but the hotel could use some cleaning services.

Where to stay in Gold Coast?

Gold Coast is more than just kilometres of stunning beaches and impressive waves–though it is these features that often draw visitors to the area. This Queensland city is also the most populated non-capital city in Australia, bringing with that title a wealth of culture, art, and fine gastronomy. Become a beachcomber on peaceful Bilinga Beach, trek through the rainforest, and cap off your day of adventure with some modern Australian cuisine. Whether you are travelling for leisure, business, or adventure, Gold Coast welcomes you with open arms.

Things to Do in Gold Coast

From national parks and amusement parks to blissful beaches and natural wonders, a world of adventure awaits you in Gold Coast. One of the primary reasons so many tourists flock to this destination each year, is the rich variety of theme parks this area has to offer. Dreamworld Gold Coast, Australia®, the country’s largest theme park, is just a few kilometres northeast of Gold Coast’s sand and features dozens of rides and thrills for the whole family to experience. Thirsty for more? There’s also Wet’n’Wild® Gold Coast, Warner Bros. Movie World™, and Dreamworld™ Happiness among many other action-packed attractions.

If rollercoasters aren’t your thing, yet you’re still yearning for a good adventure, the TreeTop Challenge in nearby North Tamborine dares you to balance and swing your way from tree to tree through 10 acres of woodland. The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk offers a similar experience, though without the adrenaline-inducing feats. Alternatively, the Infinity Attraction, mere steps from the sand in Surfers Paradise, provides a more cerebral experience that is every bit as exciting as the heart-pounding rides. When you’re ready to take a break from the action and soak up some of the local culture, the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens offer an eyeful of the local plant life, while the Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery affords you an opportunity to taste some of the region’s finest wines.

    Weather in Gold Coast

With its humid subtropical climate, the Gold Coast doesn’t experience extreme weather at any time of year. Temperatures rarely dip below 12 degrees Celsius, even during the coldest time of year. At the other end of the spectrum, summers can get a little steamy, but the mercury mostly stays below 30 degrees Celsius. Rainfall is heaviest in the summer months, and often arrives in the form of thunderstorms or strong showers that can occasionally last weeks at a time. The winter months are comparatively dry, and thanks to the comfortable weather in this season, it’s regarded as one of the best times of year to visit Gold Coast.
