We got upgraded for free to the ocean view room. The view was good (though there were some buildings in front of us - not a complete sea view) However, the room was rather old with a slight odor. The mattress was way too soft which gave very little support to the spine. The electric socket locations were inconvenient. Overall the rooms need to be renovated
The breakfast was good and the staff working in the restaurant and bar are professional. However, I had an unpleasant experience with the front desk staff. I booked my trip in two orders due to change of plans, and I asked when checking in if I could move to a higher level for the later two nights I paid more on, they said they can check tomorrow when I check-in again. The next day the same guy doesn't want to deal with me anymore and the other staff told me straightly without checking that they don't have other rooms available. I was not very happy about it because I paid much ahead of time and more for those two nights. She replied that the price is set by the third party website not them (without any apology). I really don't mind staying in the same room if they have a very good attitude and courtesy (customer service!). But the experience really pissed me off at the moment. Besides, just a side note that they are under construction of the pool. You need to go to other hotel to swim.
A beautiful quirky and different vibe. Rooms are quiet and large, yoga and meditation free on the tv app. Staff check in was indifferent however they did send up champagne as an apology, which was obviously lovely.
The eclectic feel and look of the hotel is great however it was unfortunate that the pool is under maintenance as we are on the brink of summer. The room also looked a little run down with stains on the curtains and carpets. The amenities were also not restocked daily (I had to ask the housekeeping for it) and I didn't have any kettle or tea options.
