The facilities at the hotel are great, the pool area is lovely conveniently located with a bar. Plenty of cabanas and sun loungers and a spa. The public areas of the hotel are gorgeous, so spacious and modern and so funky we loved it. The staff were amazing so quick and efficient, helpful etc, Location was good, we had a sea view (paid extra) and we walked to the markets and local restaurant area. But....the rooms, whilst a decent size and clean there were issues for me that made this hotel feel less luxe and more motel. The room was a gorgeous white on white canvas with pops of colour - good choice; but why for the love of good would you choose to paint a wall to freshen up or whatever and only paint the middle part - it was obvious without looking for it and looked terrible. The air conditioning vent was hanging off, there was mould in the grout on the floor, didn't appreciate that the sheet on the bed wasn't actually big enough to tuck in so everytime you moved it did too and you ended up by morning sleeping on the plain mattress. Loved the cockatoo lamp (would happily have taken that home), the mini bar is very well stocked with a number of different items, loved the robes too. The carpet was full of stains and I get it, it's hard to keep them clean in a hotel but it was such a cheap carpet you'd think it would just get changed more often, I suppose i should be grateful that they didn't do the same with the carpet as they did with the paint on the walls.
