Parliament House and the High Court stand alongside the National Gallery and Portrait Gallery, showcasing the nation's heritage. Lake Burley Griffin creates a stunning backdrop with pristine waters reflecting modern architecture. Wide boulevards lined with native trees create a formal, planned aesthetic. The area buzzes with government workers during weekdays but quiets down after hours. Cafes and restaurants cater to diverse tastes, though many close early evenings. Museums typically welcome visitors daily from 10am to 5pm. Well-designed walking paths make exploring the lakefront and manicured gardens a pleasure for visitors.

"I booked a double room without ensuite for myself. It was very comfortable and only a couple of doors from the bathroom and near the kitchenette, (microwave, toaster and jug and fridge). Large kitchen was down stairs. The bed was comfortable and the towels were new and large and fluffy..... such a treat. I never had to wait to use the bathroom and the facilities were kept very clean and tidy. I enjoyed my stay here and will return."

"Stayed 3 nights in a one bedroom serviced apartment, with free wi-fi and smart tvs. It was clean, if a bit tired - the main carpet needed shampooing. The location was convenient, with free secure parking and a light rail stop nearby. Staff were friendly and responsive. Amenities were functional, with a gymnasium, outdoor pool and coin operated laundry. The Atrium restaurant and bar provided a relaxing space for drinks, snacks or a meal. I would have preferred to be able to order individual breakfast items rather than a full or continental buffet. I would definitely stay at The Pavillion when next in Canberra."
