Kingfisher House is perfect for those looking to get away and enjoy a peaceful and private beachfront holiday. Situated on the beach side of Kingfisher Parade, the beach is almost at your door with only a short stroll through the trees taking you to what feels like your own private section of sand! This home is ideal for couples or families, with a park nearby for the kids. There is a designated beach access at the park.

Toogoom is a sleepy fishing village within easy access of Hervey Bay (only 10 klms). Come up stay during the months of July to October and join the many boat tours from Hervey Bay to watch the Humpback Whales migrating.
Bring your own boat, there is plenty of room and the boat ramp is just down the end of the street. Fishing and crabbing are great pastimes in the calm waters of the bay as we are protected by Fraser Island.

Don't forget to bring your furbabies,
The house has a fully fenced huge yard for them to play in and Toogoom beach is a great place for your family dog to have a play. Best time is mid tide, there are great gutters for them to play in and sometimes you may be the only ones of the beach with kilometres of beach to play on.

Toogoom has kilometres of beautiful white sandy beachfront, protected by Fraser Island we have calm gently rolling waves that make it perfect for swimming, boating, fishing, walking or simply relaxing in the sun.

We have 2 great Restaurants, Goodies and Salty Squid and the food from both is fantastic. Don't forget the local General store also do takeaway Fish and Chips and Hamburgers. I can vouch for how HUGE their hamburgers are :)

Second time at this getaway there will most definitely be more, very clean with everything that is needed for a long or short stay. 30 seconds to the beach where my dogs can run and swim and be dogs. Cannot rate this property high enough 😊

Right near the playground!

This property was perfect for our two little families. You can see the playground and the beach from the back deck. The house is really well set up and a lovely quiet spot. The beach is not the best beach but the water is shallow and safe for the kids.

Best holiday house in Toogoom

We’ve stayed at many holiday houses and this is our favourite! Perfect spot by the beach. Our Labrador loved it. The house has everything you could possibly need with the kitchen being perfectly equiped for cooking from home. They have really thought of everything. We will definitely visit again.

Cleanest property we have ever stayed in

My wife and I and our Rhodesian ridgeback x Irish wolfhound had a great stay. Our dog loved the beach when the tide was out. All crockery and cutlery we spotless. Often we have to wash them before use. We had a fabulous holiday and definitely will be back.

Great dog friendly home close to beach

This is our second stay at this home as it is a great spot to relax with your family/friends and puppies. Tons of yard space for the dogs and a two minute walk from the back gate to the off leash dog beach (just make sure you know the timed and 24 hr off leash areas). The home is very open, modern and has everything you need so you never have to get in your car. Definitely recommend if you want a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city or even those busy touristy areas.

So relaxing...

We loved this holiday house, it was perfect for our group of 4 friends. Great floor plan, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and beautiful deck out the front overlooking the bush path to the beach. Great communication with Mark, clear check in and check out instructions. We'd love to come back again and in fact checked while we were staying to see if we could extend our trip by an extra day to continue our relaxing stay at Toogoom.

This property is just perfect. Shady backdeck, ocean glimpses, beautiful breeze, just perfect. House is the perfect layout with all bedrooms private. Kitchen has everything. 2 min walk to a beautiful beach. Not really a swimming beach but you can have a dip.

Perfect getaway

Beautiful house in the perfect location. The house itself is clean, spacious and has a well-stocked kitchen. The fully fenced property was perfect for our dogs. The beach was enjoyed by dogs and family alike. This was our second year at this property, and definitely not our last. Mark and Julie are helpful, with a super fast response to any queries. Easter Break

This is an amazing property close to a park and has direct access to the beach. The property is fully fenced with loads of outside space for the kids. Inside the house is very clean with loads of room for all filled with quality appliances and furnishings and the same can be said about the deck area. There was also plenty of room to park the boat and vehicles. We would definitely stay here again. Mark S.

So Peaceful

Exactly the type of place we love staying at. The accommodation has everything including a fence that our little dog spent 8 days trying to get through. You can't ask for more. Very quiet, clean and well appointed. On top of that there is a park at the back that you walk through to the beach. No more than 100 metres. We found our host very helpful in making our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Beach Getaway

I stayed at this property with my family to celebrate my mum's 60th Birthday and booked last minute as my other rental was canceled. I think we actually ended up with a better place as this had four good size rooms all with queen beds and the location was amazing! We felt as though we had a private beach! The house was very clean when we arrived and there was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was perfect for our large family and the back deck would get the morning sun so made a perfect spot for breakfast! We have already tried to book this again but not surprisingly it's pretty booked out for the rest of the year. Thanks so much Julie and Mark!
