Cozy cottage on the water

Wonderful, cozy cottage facing sunrise on the water. We had very efficient communication with the property manager for any details. Dog friendly, designated parking, great full kitchen and room for at least 3 adults. I would definitely recommend this location, we will be back!

You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for, but we weren't too picky. It was a last minute trip and did the job. The location was great, the property is great, house definitely needs some maintenance.

Nice Place

Nice quiet place to lay your head, while you enjoy the beauty of The Keys. Its has everything I need in-between adventures around the islands. 2nd time I've stay here and sure it won't be the last. Kiki's has the best food around.

Home away from home

I stayed in cottage number two closest to the water.. We arrived early and we're able to get early check-in, which made our life a lot easier. The cottage had all the necessities.. Grocery store is very close.. What I really enjoyed about this cottage. Was it was secluded And clean.. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who was looking to get away from the daily life

Paradise

Perfect vacation! Could kayak or snorkel right from back yard!! And house was a lot bigger than we thought. Little pics of paradise, would definitely do it again!

great vacation

It was kind of exciting. the cops showed up on the property and on the next door property to the North, there was a tree of stolen bouys and a stolen crab trap. It was quiet. there was a bit of a flood when it rained but within a day or 2 the water was gone. we had trouble opening the slider on the deck and I think there was moisture in the door. Hopefully we left it pretty clean. we had to be at the airport by 6:30. thank you, it was a wonderful stay. Patty

Perfect Spot

Sunrise Cottage #2 was a perfect spot for our family of 4. The location can’t be beat and the water access would’ve been prefect, if it hadn’t have been so windy. Whoever recommended Horseshoe Beach was a lifesaver, it was a perfect protected area for us to snorkel. We felt that the house was a comfortable size and nicely equipped with new appliances. Very comfortable! A few reviews mentioned the house being in disrepair, it was not bad at all. It actually was nicer than some of the older Florida cottages we have stayed in. Lots of character and a great price point. We will be back!

Nice place. Exactly what we were looking for.

We enjoyed our stay in this cottage. We definitely made use of the kayaks. We were looking for something near Key West, but a little quieter. It was a great fit for what we were looking for. There are some nice things to do very near this rental. We took some time to go up to big pine key to try to see some of the key deer. There are some nice options for food & drink close by. It's also only 30 - 45 minutes to key west. The keys were still recovering from Irma when we went, but we enjoyed our stay. It was a nice place to relax.

Place is Scam! Dirty and Don't Waste your money!

The place was dirty, the front sliding door wouldn't lock properly so they put a PVC pipe in the track to act as a lock. Host was rude. Was supposed to have a kayak for my stay and only ended up getting me one for 2 days and I was there 6 days. Overall don't waste your money because it's a scam!

Beautiful sunrises with minor problem to fix

The sunrise pictures were great. The tub dripped the whole time. Easy fix ifgot the plumber to do it. The kitchen sink faucet was loose. When it rained major mud puddles. Minor problems to fix. The location was excellent. It was clean and we enjoyed it. But like I said some things need fixing.

Little Torch Key

The house was fine but there is no central air conditioning, only window units which did not cool off the entire house. We closed off the kitchen area to keep the living area cool. I do not recommend this location if you are hot natured or not use to Florida weather.

Great Location, House could use a little work

Location is great, but house could use a little work. Bathroom is located attached to the main bedroom so everyone has to go through that bedroom to use the bathroom. AC is 3 window units, they worked OK, but the one in the main bedroom was louder than the others. Also the cool air does not make it to the kitchen, it can get warm in there. Ceiling is caved in a little in the main bedroom. And you can't close the bedroom door on the twin beds room.

Great property for the price

This location is dated and not as modern as others in the area, but for the price, it did not disappoint. The price was probably 40%+ less than other smaller properties with less room, but way worth it. I know I got a great deal. I was by myself, so it was larger than what I needed but I sure wasn't going to say no to this deal. Fully functional everything, except I couldn't figure out how to turn on the overhead kitchen light/fan, maybe that was just me. The only thing I wish it had was a simple outdoor dining table, even a picnic table would have been cool to sit outside and enjoy the view while having a meal. A dedicated small BBQ as well as there are 2 units on the property with one BBQ between the two. Other than that, a great experience with the manager, very quick to answer questions when asked. Great stay, thank you!

The sliding door barely worked- had to strain to even partially open it. Kitchen was so stuffy and hot that cooking in there was so uncomfortable. Kitchen sink faucet was loose and coming out. The curtain on the kitchen door kept falling off and kitchen door opened by itself with any wind, making said curtain blow outside. Bathroom towels had holes in them. Tub faucet barely worked- you had to pull the rusted fixture almost out of the wall to get it going. The ceiling in main bedroom is caving in and the ceiling molding coming down in some spots. We were provided a half of a roll of toilet paper. We had to buy more.The stairs below the broken slider are dangerous and falling apart at the top two stairs. The configuration of the “spare”bedroom is such that you can’t close the door- the beds stick out into doorway. I know it’s mentioned that the only bathroom is through the main bedroom but that’s just crazy. We were very disappointed in our first Vrbo experience and feel cheated on a property that was neglected and not safe.

Great view, interior lacking

The view was amazing and being right on the water was great! However, cleaning crew was still onsite 2 hours after check in time. The chemicals used to clean we're overpowering and made us feel sick. The pictures online don't tell the truth of the place. While it was cozy and efficient for sleeping, the kitchen and bathroom left a lot to be desired. There are barely any dishes and we weren't able to cook much at all. We couldn't get the shower on and once we did, it was so old I felt we would break it every time we used it. All in all we enjoyed our stay because of the location, but feel the cost was not reflected in the home.

DONT STAY HErE! SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN ASAP!

The place is quaint and was clean when we arrived. However, the toilet didn’t work when we got there, the gas grill did not work, the gas stove oven didn’t work and the dryer didnt heat up. The scariest part was when the oven would not turn off. This is a very dangerous and possibly deadly situation. This was unacceptable. We brought and bought food to cook at the rental that we could not cook. We had to spend extra money to go out and eat. We also had to take our wet clothes to a laundry mat to dry. We understand you are in the process of redoing the outside but the broken down tables and chairs are a hazard laying around. The table outside has rusted feet that if someone cuts themselves on they could get an infection and who knows what could happen. You need to supply more trash bags, toilet paper, towels and wash rags. For the kitchen you need more bowls and oven cooking ware. An umbrella outside for shade is a must with the intense Florida sun. There were so many no see I’m bugs outside we could not enjoy it! The house was not up to what you advertised. We had our friends from Michigan rent the other house so we could enjoy each others company but they had to leave early because of the mold situation in their place. We chose the place for our honeymoon because of the beach house atmosphere and privacy. We made the best of our stay but are completely disappointed with all the things not working and having to spend extra money to eat out. Even though we called on the toilet and oven - no one ever came to fix it. At this point I would suggest you stop renting the place until you have it in proper working order. Julie and Carlton

Not bad but needs improvement

The front door does not latch shut so if you have a pet you need to lock the door at all times. Sliding door doesn't open easy. Main room window unit doesn't keep the room cool. Kitchen area too hot to cook in. Otherwise the house was comfortable and the views are really nice

Awesome stay

Was a great stay. Bigger than expected. Only a couple flaws. #1 - front door definitely needs to be looked at as door easily pushes open without being locked. #2 - bathroom is small and muggy. Shower was great tho! Newer washer and dryer was nice. Back yard is huge dogs loved it. The A/C is alright recommend bringing a small portable A/C if you have someone in the spare bedroom. Kitchen can get muggy too but nothing too crazy. Very quiet neighborhood. Kiki’s down the road was amazing went there everyday. Overall was a great stay would definitely recommend/stay again.
