Sonder - Steelhouse Nov12 - Nov15

Directions/access to the property well documented, easy to follow and straight forward - no wasted time with waiting on staff etc. Location was great, walking distance to events and dining. The property was well appointed, covered all the bases, all needs were met. Simply wifi access info and other needed directions easy to access and follow. I will book staying with Sonder in the future, and would suggest it to others.

The Pros: The apartment was a nicely set up with two huge bedrooms and bathrooms, and large kitchen with all the appliances you need and living area. Also a utility room with washer/dryer. It was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Complex was very close to dining and it was right next to US 4 for quick access to Disney/Universal. The cons: Only one small couch, it could use an extra comfy chair, and the ceiling and walls are paper thin, I could hear person upstairs walking around and people (and barking dogs) in hallway, They do supply sound machines in the bedrooms to help cope with the noise. The complex is set up with outer units that face street and inner units that face a courtyard. Mine was an inner unit and the courtyard was a parking area.

Loved the apt set up with a full kitchen vs staying in a hotel. A few drawbacks train noise & outside conversations; however head phones were provided. A walk up to the apt door (on the outside) had a few trash or trash bag lying on the ground.

Cuando se hace la reserva a traves de Hoteles.com deberian avisar que tambien hay que inscribirse en la app de la propiedad. Si no se hace no hay forma de acceder al departamento, y la app no es muy amigable tampoco...

The property was modern and nicely decorated. It contained everything we needed including a washer, dryer and detergent. They owner also made it possible for use to check in several hours earlier than our original time, which made things even more convenient. I will definitely be using Sonder again.

Fantastic location, great space, quiet and amazing communication. You CANNOT beat having free parking downtown along with more space than a hotel room. Will stay here again and highly recommended. Felt SAFE and was a home away from home.

I really liked the property but experienced a few issues that made my overall experience below average. 1) the incorrect access code was sent to me - the code I received was a three digit code and the key pad asked for 4. The train ruined our sleep

The size of the place was very large, and gave everyone their personal space. The designs were modern. I liked the in-unit washer and dryer. Tv doesn’t work. Pool was amazing. Great communication with the Sonder team. The train came multiple times an hour and it was SO LOUD! It woke us up every night, and the traffic right outside the window was also very annoying. People kept honking every hour and would lay on their horn for more than ten seconds. I wish the windows of the bedrooms were better at blocking all the noise out. The train was way too loud. Overall, I would stay here again if it wasn’t facing the train tracks.

The best way to stay

Everything was amazing! So much better than hotel, with all the amenities and the online concierge was great. Everyone was so helpful, the apartment is beautiful and everything was very clean. And the neighborhood is so fun and nice to walk around.

Apartment was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. Spacious and well laid out, I’ve stayed in downtown Orlando a few times and all you get are tired / dated hotels which charge exorbitant rates and offer you half the space. Checkin process was ‘human free’ via an app, but that’s the times we live in (and with COVID, a preferred experience tbh). Only downside is the building, which is several years old and takes some time to navigate. Will definitely be my preferred choice when visiting again. Thank you Sonder Ps the Mexican bar nearby makes THE best mezcal margaritas

It’s a comfortable apartment

Room is really great and clean and comfortable. But the check in process is really confusing, it can improve by using picture instructions. Another thing I don’t like is my head got hit by the kitchen pendant light two times . The elevator cannot go from 3 to 1 floor. The building designer is the worst designer ever, I can guaranteed you will die in the building for it’s like a corn maze. But once you can used to the building, I am sure it’s a pleasure place.

This area is not an area for a family with children. The first evening there was a domestic dispute in the property or outside the property that was so loud and frightening we almost called 911. It was terrible, we were looking for a change of scenery outside of Disney parks as we do every year but this def wasn't it.

Great stay! We enjoyed the place! Everything we needed was there, I needed extra towels for after the beach, even thou we brought our own they made sure we had, And the good coffee!

Perfect location just north of downtown. The apartment looked and felt brand new. Everything was very clean and I would definitely stay again!

Beautiful and spacious place. Close to a very nice Sushi restaurant. Only downside is that the place in on the ground level of a very busy street, so it tends to be noisy during morning rush hour. Sonder had earplugs available on our night tables, which helped. Apart from that we loved the place. Check-in was a bit confusing, not because of the instructions, but because the janitor at the Steelhouse led us to the wrong lockbox place. Contacted Sonder, they were very prompt to respond and helpful.

The perfect stay!

Our stay was very pleasant and comforting. We felt very at home and had access to all amenities offered. Very modern and up to date with the style and would be perfect for anyone looking for a place to stay in the downtown Orlando area!
