The ideal family getaway awaits at this gorgeous lakefront property, with peaceful lake and mountain views. The home's private covered dock is located on a cove off the main channel of Norris Lake. At night, fire up the gas grill, then gather round the firepit for evening stargazing. You'll love the screened porch and alfresco dining deck!

The inviting interior is perfect for socializing and quiet time alike. The primary suite is on the entry level, with the other bedrooms downstairs. Whip up delicious dishes in the sparkling full kitchen, equipped with everything you need for home-cooked meals. Chill favorite bottles in the wine cooler while dinner simmers. After fun-filled days on the lake, cozy up by the gas fireplace!

Dock details: The covered boat dock is 42 steps from the back door down a fairly steep set of stairs. Boat launching is available on-site. Steps to the lakefront and dock are not accessible during fall/winter months and the availability is subject to the water levels. Use at your own risk.

Great House!

This place was great and just what we needed. The location is perfect. Only issues were that the grill did not work and didn’t get fixed and that we were provided minimal toilet paper and paper towels, so if you stay here for more than a day or two with more than 2 people be sure to plan accordingly.

This is a great location on the lake and the home is well appointed. I had everything I needed to cook for the family and we enjoyed the selection of games and movies. We had a great time on the lake - marinas with restaurants are near by. Great place!

Setting and layout of the home is terrific. Proximity to marina is good. Property manager was very responsive to our needs. Only downside was cleanliness of rugs. Everything else was great.

Cozy Place

Overall 10/10 experience! We visited the Dawg Pound for our honeymoon. We couldn’t have found a better place to spend a few days! The house is very cozy, and was very clean upon arrival! The only downfall to the home is the location. We have a pretty big truck and boat and it was very scary getting to the home itself, right narrow roads and the drive way is not as big as it seems in the pictures. Overall a great place to stay, very peaceful and quiet! Awesome access to the lake!

This home was beautiful & our stay was very relaxing. The dock was perfect & it was great that there was an electrical connection down there so we could inflate our rafts & paddleboards. The only thing I would add would be some throw blankets!

Great house in a great location. The private boat launch is not a launch, it’s at the end of a dirt road and was pretty hard to negotiate. Plan accordingly and bring toilet paper and paper towels if you’re traveling with more than 2 people for a few days. The house provides not enough to last 6 people a week. Lastly, the grill didn’t work and did not get fixed. We plan on coming back, just planning differently.

Beautiful house in a quiet, tranquil neighborhood

We absolutely loved our stay in the dawg pound vacation house on Norris lake. The house was so cozy and inviting and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We would recommend this property to everyone! It’s worth the price! We will definitely be staying there again!!

Peace and Quiet

Lovely home overlooking beautiful view of the inlet and lake. Two porches to enjoy -- one is screened. Very clean and didn't smell like dog! Super quiet and remote neighborhood.

We stayed here for a week. The stay was amazing. House was clean and great location. The only recommendation I would have is getting a key for the back door by the dock. It was a bit inconvenient to have to go out front door so back door could be locked. Otherwise amazing trip. Tnx

Great time

House was perfect and had everything we needed for a great time. The commercial grade ice maker was a blessing for filling our cooler to accommodate all day boating. Dock was great and boat launch right there by house. Road is a bit narrow and curvy with trailer to get to house, just go slow. Fire pit a great touch, might want to bring extra camp chairs. Would stay again.

The Dawg Pound is VERY nice. However, the neighborhood is under a lot of construction and it made the stay a bit challenging. But, we understand the upgrades to neighboring homes need to happen now in order to be ready for the summer.

Beautiful Home!

This home is beautiful, with nice views, especially in the fall. The kitchen has really nice cooking gadgets, we made some wonderful meals during our stay. (A lot of Pampered Chef selections) I would only recommend a few things ~ The home needs a TV in the kitchen, and the two guest bedrooms downstairs. At the bottom of the (Back) outside stairs to the dock, needs railing asap, and a much safer ramp/walk-way, to get to the dock. (It was quite scary to be honest) Also, the fire pit area is across the street from the house, not directly on the property with the home, just an FYI for others. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us, we really enjoyed ourselves, and appreciate everything.

Wrong address

First of all the house was great. The problem was the physical address was incorrect. It was trails end..not trains end, so our Google maps took us 2 hours out of our way. Second thing was it wasnt a good location to swim for dogs(which I paid extra for) hill was way to steep to exit or enter for our 4 legged friends. So a big negative. Hope these things can be resolved for future guests.

Beautiful Stay @ Lake Norris

The neighborhood was great it’s within walking distance of a beach area. Going in off season was actually so nice because we basically had the whole lake to ourselves. The only down fall to this house is they remove the dock when the lake water level is low which is what happened to us. We still made the best of it. The house was very accommodating and allowed dogs which was so nice. We had a comfortable stay and I would recommend this house!
