  • The Wildlife Safari is such an awesome place! It has been around for 38 years and was one of my favorite places I ever visited as a child. My children feel the same after visiting in the summer of 2014. This 600 acre park is home to over 500 animals and features a drive through park as well as a walk through viewing area, cafe and gift shop. One of our favorite parts is in a particular area of the drive-thru park, you can buy food and feed the animals which are emus and different types of deer from your car. This property sold just days prior to our stay so our reservation was canceled by the property. We love this hotel as it is very close to family who live in the area so we have stayed many times. We were very sad to see that it is being turned into a “battered women’s refuge” It seems there would be hotels less used by travelers they could have converted and left the best hotel in the area alone.

The people were very nice but the visit was spoiled by someone vandalizing the truck,/and all four tires slashed and writing words on the side scratching them through the paint. Not sure about if this is a safe area or not

Room was clean. However check in is at 3 and we did not get there until about 5. The room was still not ready and we had to wait. Traveling almost 5 hours with children then having to wait another 1/2 hour 2 hours after check in wasn't cool

Poor Record Keeping

They provided me a late check-out but I was still woken up promptly at 11am with pounding on the door. They've also placed a chair directly below a lamp that I nearly broke when standing up. Also, there's no wildlife in site.

We stayed in a "pet friendly" room as only our second experience with bringing our pet to a hotel. There were two things that were not "great" with it but not horrific. One, when people walked by and were talking, my dog barked so it would've been better to be somewhere maybe further away? The second thing was the "grassy hill" for pets was muddy and right next to the busy roadway so it in no way was the best of places for the dog to do her business or run around. Better than nothing, but...

we stay here at least twice a year while visiting wildlife safari this is probably the 12th time we have stayed at this hotel. We love it here customer service is amazing and it in a perfect location to visit wildlife safari. Parking can get a little full if you arrive very late in the evening but there’s always a spot for you. This was the first Time we have experience noisy neighbors but that’s somewhat out of the hotel control. We always stay downstairs and we have two children that are young. Who ever stayed above us this time also had young children and allow them to jump on the bed until 12:30 AM rattling our door to the bathroom downstairs and waking up my children. The office is only open until 11 PM they do offer an after hours phone numberThat is to their sister property already didn’t bother to call. overall we are satisfied with us today and will continue to stay here again and again.

Would stay again

Check in was great, we arrived late and Tony waited 15 extra minutes to leave so we could check in. Check out was simple. Breakfast is fair. A quick snack to tide you over. Oh and bring earplugs, you hear everything around y.ou. Especially if you are downstairs This was our second stay at this hotel. The location is perfect for the Wildlife Safari. The beds are comfortable and clean. Our king room we stayed in was much nicer than the one we stayed in this time. We had two beds the second time, the beds again were good, but the carpet was really stained and bathroom needs some updating. Blinds were coming off the clips but we made it work. Overall clean though so if you can get past the stained old look its not too bad. I would stay again if need be and just hope the room was a bit better next time.
