Redding Beauty

We had a great time staying in Redding at this property. Roger was quick to reply and gave great instructions for entering the home. Clean, amazing views, and easy access to town and nearby outdoorsy activities. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

Better than a hotel

It was a great room. Easy to access. Plenty of room for 2. Clean and comfortable. It was great for a stop over on our way to southern California from Oregon.

Definitely be Returning

From the moment I booked my reservation to the checkout, I received excellent service. This quaint little spot was clean, had no odors, a shower heats up quickly. My favorite part was listening to the frogs while admiring the view. I even saw 5 young does at the bottom of the grasslands while sitting on the deck. I had an absolutely wonderful stay and would recommend it to friends and familyUicllyquickelu

Great little spot

We enjoyed our short stay at this location. Traveling thru town and didn't want to stay at a motel. Very clean and the deck was an bonus. Just a short drive from downtown.

Lovely deck and bathtub

Very nice to stay here, the deck was beautiful with only hummingbirds for company. The hosts respect guests privacy well. The tub is huge !

Very pleasant stay

This place was perfectly clean and well appointed. It's definitely an older hotel but it's had some updates and it's clearly well-maintained. I didn't expect much more than a place to crash but, for the price range, it was a 10.

Clean, affordable, just as advertised stay

Roger’s place is just as advertised. Very similar to a hotel room, as far as accommodations - the basics for a short stay. We only stayed overnight, but it was a comfortable stay, room was very clean, safe and tucked away behind the main house, with a very nice canyon view. As others have said, yes, the bathroom is a bit dated, but there IS a big bathtub, which is rather nice (we didn’t use it). If you’re looking for an affordable, safe place in a quiet neighborhood, that has the basics, it’s a great choice.

Nice Place

I was in town for a conference, and didn’t spend much time outside of sleep here. The bed was comfy, there’s a small fridge and microwave and Kuerig. A huge tub to soak in (bring your bath bombs!). And a separate shower. The closet is large. There are a couple easy chairs and deck chairs. It’s very quiet and private.

Just what we needed

The location was perfect for our traveling needs and especially for the quality of the price! Beautiful views and quiet neighborhood. The parking was a little difficult to manage/maneuver but I’m not sure if that was listed in the ad and I skimmed over it. Overall- I would 100% stay there again!

Convenient and Comfortable

Great communication, just what we needed while traveling through Redding. The room was comfortable and clean, I really liked the bathtub and the view was so pretty! We didn’t see the host at all but they were always responsive to messages and gave clear instructions for everything. We would definitely stay again, thank you!!!

Price and view are spectacular!!!

Great place to lay your hat as you check out the Manzanita Lake!! Wake up to beautiful sunrise and view of snow peaked mountains!! There is no TV if that matters to anyone. Roger made the process so easy!!!

The property location and size was perfect for my needs; very clean and quiet, with a lovely view. The owner was very responsive and thorough in answering my few questions prior to my stay. However, the vrbo website is clunky and did not show the address of the house, just a vague indication of where it was located in the neighborhood.

We had a wonderful visit! We were only around for one night to quickly visit some friends and then head back south. The property manager communicated everything we needed to know and was very informative. We had an easy peasy visit!

The room was great; the bed was very comfortable, there was both a shower and a bathtub option, no problems with the wifi. EZ access into the room, and Roger sent me a photo of the house prior to coming so I would know exactly what to look for, which was very helpful.

My husband and i spent one night here and were a bit perplexed. I'll start by saying the area that the home is set, is not the best. We lived in Redding for 6 years and didnt do our research or we wouldnt have chosen this property. On a high note, the view from the balcony was gorgeous!! There were a few dogs barking at different times, but overall very quiet. Upon entering the room, we found it well appointed and clean. However, we found that the bathroom vanity light as well as the light in the enclosed toilet space would not come on. I quickly emailed the host and never received a reply, but he must have seen my email as the lights eventually were working again. Im thinking it was a breaker switch. So to my reason for being perplexed. The bathroom counter hit me at my mid thigh area. Im 5'7, my husband 6'2". It made it difficult to bend so far over. But even worse, the top of the toilet seat hit my mid calf!! It had to be designed for little people as we have never even seen a toilet of this low stature. It was a foot high at best, probably more like 10 inches. It was unbelievable to say the least and very difficult to navagate. And one more dissappointment was the bedding, mainly the lightweight comforter. It smelled soiled from prior guests and was disgusting. We didnt use it and thankfully had our own pillows from home. Also, I assumed there would be a tv, but should have read the listing more closely. Hopefully the host will make improvements.
