About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
Located in one of the nicest surroundings and warmest areas in the south. Near the famous Valley of Thor-Thorsmork, a favourite of the locals and the popular Seljalandsfoss the waterfall you can walk behind. The IG Eyja Mörk cabin is a place of opportunities to explore the nature of Iceland and the most popular tourist destination within an easy reach. The cabin provides accommodation with free private parking, very secluded garden, great darkness for experiencing the northern lights, balcony with view to the exotic Westman Island, a BBQ and an area with a view to Thorsmork and the mountain range of Tindfjoll and Stori and Litli Dimon as well as the big river Skafta. The house features 2 cosy but small bedrooms, a warm living room with a view to the very well known Eyjafjallajokull the volcano that closed all air traffic in Europe back in 2010 when it erupted. But, do not worry, it is well out of reach for us and has never done harm in this area, luckily. Also, the cabin has a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a fridge, and 1 bathroom with a shower.

This property is spacious, relaxing, and gorgeous. It has everything you need and the property manager, Stefan, is very friendly and helpful. We spent the first 2-nights of our 7-night Iceland stay here and loved every minute of it! The bubble was amazing to stay in and we were very happy to have beds in the house as a backup, although we didn’t use them. The house has a grill and a soaking tub as well, which we enjoyed. Thanks so much, Stefan, for contributing to our amazing honeymoon!
Absolutely loved this place! I was a little worried it would be too small but it was perfect for my family of four (two parents, teen and adult child). We spent nights around the fire in the extra outdoor patio space with walls to cut the wind and an additional heater if needed.
The kids were obsessed with the heated bubble bedroom and at night you couldn’t even tell you were in a bubble - it just looked like woods and open sky.
Location was perfect for exploring Vik, Vestmannaeyjar Island, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, many waterfalls and more. There is a pretty rough dirt/gravel road you need to take to reach the property, but if you go slow you’re fine.
Host gave tons of great info and was there to greet us and walk us though the property when we arrived. He was easy to reach and responsive when we had questions.
Book this place! You won’t regret it!
A bit of peace in an out of the way spot in the south of Iceland
This is a friendly, funky little cabin with some unusual amenities. We loved the sunroom and enjoyed being able to be "outside" but still have some protection from the wind and the rain. We checked out the bubble room, but with the wind and the rain no one in our group opted to use it--but it is probably a great place to check out the northern lights when it's dark enough. The main cabin had the amenities we needed, but there was no freezer (so we had to eat our desert early) and several lights were out. Having a dryer in the cabin was very welcome after a very wet day.
This was our first trip to Iceland, and we used this location as our home base seeing the south coast. With 6 in our party, we were using both bedrooms and the futon to make sure everyone had a place to sleep. The cabin is small, but everyone had a comfy spot to sleep and a chair to sit in. I'd stay here again.
We had a great stay! The outdoor area was very nice. The location was very close to Seljalandsfoss and Thórsmörk.

A lovely stay in a rural area. So close to Thorsmork and such a beautiful area to explore. A full kitchen was perfect, since other dining options were further away.
This was our last stay before returning to Reykjavik to head home. Could not have enjoyed it more. The house is lovely but the best part of all was the transparent domes to sleep in and the covered terrace. Our last full day rained most of the day but we still enjoyed under cover, playing games, painting, relaxing and chatting by the gas fireplace. What a treat!

This place is nicely decorated and very comfortable. There are lots of entertainment after finished a day out like an outdoor hot tub, sleep in a bubble to see the night sky, outdoor sitting area with a gas fire pit. Kitchen has plenty of cooking supplies and grinded coffee available. The only thing is the sound proof of the bedrooms is insufficient you can hear people using the washroom due to the washroom is between the two bedrooms.
We had a great stay at Stefan’s cabin. It was in a great location to explore the sites around Vik, Skogafoss, Heimaey, and super close to Seljalandsfoss waterfall. The kitchen was well equipped. It was a bit of a squeeze (one of the bedrooms hardly fits a small double bed), with little space to put our things. The dryer is broken, but there’s a wash and dry cycle on the washing machine that worked well. If you’re traveling in summer months and planning to use the sofabed in the living room, know that one of the windows has no shades, so plan to bring a good eye mask. Overall would recommend this place.
We really enjoyed staying in this cabin. It is a beautiful, clean, and well equipped house. The location is great, easy access to some of the most beautiful places to explore. We are grateful for this great experience.
Very homey and comfortable, this cottage was perfect for the four of us (two adult children, my wife and me).. Easy trips east and west to cover the popular South Coast sites, plus a nice secret waterfall nearby. Having a full kitchen was a big plus. Very private.
