Before you leave the area you will be faced with the choice of which way to go home and what will you have time to visit on the way? If heading to Adelaide, will it be dinosaur bones and Coonawarra wine, or the Big Lobster and the Coorong National Park. Or on your way to Victoria? Will it be Nelson National Park, as it is just along the road from Port MacDonnell, the Glenelg River and the Princess Margaret Rose caves, Portland and the “Great Ocean Road” starts 200km away, in Warrnambool. Or will you head towards Hamilton and the Western Border region of Victoria which offers the Grampians and is stepped in history.

Place to goSalt cafe in town ideal fit lunchComfortable bed and lounge chairsOnly false information was BBQ which hsdn’t been used in years with old rusted gas bottle
The house is small and simple but was more than enough for the two of us for a few nights. It is well located, close to everything in Port Macdonnell - walking distance from beach, shop, restaurants and pub.It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Checking in was easy, no fuss.I would stay here again.
Very clean and very comfortable with everything we needed. In a lovely quiet location just a few minutes from the beach and shops. Very happy with our stay
The property was exactly as described. We felt so at home. The beds were really comfortable. Lots of spare blankets which was great. Pretty much walking distance to most things you would need. Would highly recommend this place if you need rest and relaxation
Cute little batch, was comfortable with 4 people, could squeeze in 6 with young kids. Bedding and pillows are quiet old and could do with a freshen up. Very minimal amenities, salt and pepper shakers were empty, no cooking oil or coffee etc.
Close to centre of town 450 metres. Clean, tidy, hot water, clean bedding. Could have included some soap in the shower and a little washing detergent.

The general condition was great but the weather was cold and wet and we were involved in outdoor activity during our stay we were disappointed that the bathroom was so cold that we were reluctant to go in for a shower. The shower dripped continually no matter how hard we turned the taps off. The drips splashed the bathmat so it was wet hanging on the side of the bath.
We appreciated having a washing machine but no dryer made it difficult drying our outdoor clothing and washing.
We liked the town, the location of the property and parking space for 2 vehicles. We would come back but at a warmer time of the year.

Location good
Checked in at checkin time of 1pm, house didn't look like been cleaned, beds stripped not made-up. Contacted agent, they had to find out, called us back theyd arrive about 2 30 need an hour to clean. A cleaner turned up at 1.30, said we should have been out at 10am, we said we booked for 2 nights just arrived, she stated was told it was another house she had to clean and wasnt told this this waa for a quick in and out. We left our stuff there and left for a few hours so she could clean. Cleaner was lovely and all our stuff untouched when we came back. A few maintenance issues, eg rail up stairs, glass door handle lock both wobbly, lots of spider webs outside at back and a million mozzies inside when we got there, you could see where everyone has killed them.Good location, nice little place, had what we needed plus had books, dvds, games etc.
The day we checked out, that night received emsil stating our rent was in arrears but we had already pre paid. Emailed proof back but received no reply, no apolgy. Wouldn't choose to stay using a real estate agency again, totally disorganised. Price was good though.
I hope this review helps to improve services and maintenance because it is a lovely place within walking distance to playgrounds, beach, boat ramp with ample parking.
