MICE!!!! This property has mice!! At the beginning of the trip the host double booked the apartment and I only found out because I was let in by another renter and saw someone else's belongings. She did not inform me ahead of time of the double booking. I was forced to move across town into another one of her apartments. The apartment was across town, three stories up without an elevator, and was not a locked and secure building. It was very unsettling knowing anyone could have walked into the building especially since I had not vetted this apartment or area. She refused to give me a refund for the first night so I had no other choice but to stay. After I moved back into the original rental property through VRBO, I found MICE. I opened the bathroom door and a mouse ran straight past my feet. I called the owner as soon as I saw the mouse around 7:00pm and she didn't respond until the next day (She said she was busy). She was not readily available and I had to make the decision to stay in a hotel. The next day she claimed that the mouse didn't exist even after she texted me that the mouse had been caught. She contradicted herself.
She was extremely rude when we spoke and harassed me about my age eventhough I'm 19 and there were no age restrictions on her VRBO listing. She hung up on me when I requested a refund and she immediately cancelled my stay without informing me. She has since then refused VRBO's multiple attempts to contact her for a resolution. The property owner was a nightmare and I still have not received a refund. Avoid this place if you are worried about MICE or her ability to solve problems when they arise. The property owner will not offer a refund at any point even if there are mice or if she double books your apartment.
I am currently seeking other legal means to recoup my money. This was the most miserable experience I have ever had with a property and a property owner in my life.
