My husband and I are experienced travelers. We were here for 3 nights. We took our family in Vietnam as they were raving about "Vinpearl". There are 20 of us. The resort itself is beautiful and clean but there are lots of other factors that it needs to meet for it to be a 5 star & Vinpearl are far from being a 5 star. Staff are nice but it is obvious that they haven't receive proper training. There was a glitch with their booking system which got nothing to do with us as a guess but they made us wait for 2.5hrs. It was during the Corona Virus time & the resort was dead so I don't know why they can't deal with a simple matter in a timely manor. The floor manager made numerous calls to her superior & we were forced to write a hand written letter explaining the situation before we get the room key. Are you kidding me? This is unacceptable. We felt that the staff here are so afraid to lose there job which jeopardized the customer service. With this many people and mainly kids and teen so you can just imagine how frustrated it was to keep this many people calm. When we finally get to go the room, the card for the door wasn't active properly so we couldn't get in. They took forever (30min) to get someone to open the door for us. They waist so much of our time that by the time we get to settle in, the day was gone & we couldn't go to the Vinpearl Land as it closed at 8pm. Food can be improve but it is way overprice. Alcohol & non-alcoholic beverages are also overprice.
