Perfect Pet-Friendly Getaway

We had an amazing stay! Our dog had the best time exploring the bush walks and swimming in the pool. It was wonderful to relax and be surrounded by nature, with plenty of birds and kangaroos to spot. The studio was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly escape!

Ah, the serenity

What a lovely spot, so glad we found it! We hate going away without our fur babies so was so lovely to find a venue where dogs are fully accommodated for and safe. Our doggies had the best time exploring the grounds, and we enjoyed a few reds by the fire 🔥 A lovely relaxing place, highly recommend

Beautiful property for furbabies and their hoomans. Serene and relaxing setting for fun sniffaris and adventures. Great facilities for unplugging and chilling out, just 40 minutes away from the stress and hustle bustle of the city!! You'll wish you could stay forever ♥️

10/10 pawfect holiday!

We stayed in the studio for 2 nights and it was the perfect staycation destination! You wouldn’t think we are just out of the city. Having 2 German shepherds we struggle to find pet friendly accomodation but Junko was so lovely to them and we absolutely loved our stay and so did our 2 fur kids! We hope to visit again and try the wagon next!

A perfect little escape with our pup 🐶💛

We had the most beautiful two-night stay at Mount Olive Studio with our Dalmatian, Leslie. The studio has everything you need—super modern, comfy, and thoughtfully designed—but the real magic is outside. We loved wandering the property, going on bush walks, and cooling off in the pool in the afternoon. We recently lost our older dog, Lou Lou, so this little getaway was exactly what we needed, space to slow down, do nothing, and just be together. It’s such a rare and special thing to enjoy a place this lovely with your dog. We’re so grateful.

Peaceful getaway

Mountolive studio is a lovely, peaceful escape in the hills and not too far away from Perth. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of walking opportunities and a nice pool. My fur baby loved all the new smells and areas to run. It’s just delightful and we will go back.

Beautiful .

We had a beautiful relaxing stay , the rain only enhanced our stay as the natural pools were full and everything was lush and green . The owners are extremely respectful of your privacy and attentive to check how everything was or if you needed anything. The studio is comfortable and very clean and the shower is amazing. Amazing

Absolutely stunning property. We stayed with our 2 dogs and one being reactive to other dogs we were able to feel at ease without having to worry about running into other pets and she could be free to explore. The studio itself is also a very cosy place to stay!! Will definitely be back.

Beautifully Peaceful

We arrived on a Monday afternoon. From the moment we walked upstairs to our Studio stay, it was beautiful. Our dog, Gypsy, absolutely loved it. She was swimming and walking every day. The grounds are gorgeous, and it reminds me of Tuscany. It felt like we were in an Italian Villa in Italy. Thank you to Frank and Junko for an amazing place to stay. Next time we will stay in the Wagon. We will be back...

Amazing!!

What a special place to spend some quality time with my family. The cottage is gorgeous and has everything u could possibly need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. My furbaby had the best time roaming free, sniffing all the new smells. Listening to the beautiful birds and water flowing in the creek was incredible. We will be back

We only stayed two nights and we are from 40 mins down the road but it felt like a world away! We loved having our dog everywhere with us, she’s reactive so it was peace of mind having the freedom for her to roam around. We played tennis, enjoyed bush walks and just soaked up the nature from the comfort of the couches. Planning when we can go back shortly!

Perfect place for a recharge

Mountolive is a gorgeous wooden cabin in the middle of peaceful private bushland. The perfect place to reset and recharge from the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with nature and each other without interruptions. Never have we been to a place where our dogs were equal guests with no limits or restrictions, they were truly cared for and enjoyed off lead bush trails! Junko was so friendly and attentive to any needs. We can’t wait to come back soon!

A peaceful place to stay with man’s best friend.

What a lovely break at a lovely little place with my best friend :) Millie and I enjoyed our stay immensely. The studio was beautiful and surrounded by beautiful bush land and gardens. Having the secure areas for dogs was just really great and I felt safe letting Millie run around. Nothing was too much trouble for Junko and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into running a unique accommodation experience. Would love to have the chance to stay again. Thank you :)

Rescue Hound Paradise

Finding a secure, quiet and pleasantly distracting home away from home was such a happy find. I have a large breed rescue that doesn't have the greatest recall so having the large enclosed area attached to the studio was a godsend. Only unfortunate experience was my hounds unhappiness with the resident possums family (she thought they were cats) but I loved watching them watching me 😂. The pool area is also amazing and my family had a great time jumping off the rocks. Already planning our next stay for the winter months!

Dog friendly getaway in the Perth Hills

It is rare to find such a gem. Mountolive Studio is a welcoming, comfortable, completely dog friendly accommodation (most places have a list of restrictions even if they say they are dog friendly - dogs can go here, can't do this/that etc.) that is also a beautiful, well-appointed place for people. It was so relaxing to be surrounded by, and be able to see, bush and trees from everywhere within the studio but to also be within easy access to coffee shops, wineries etc. Thank you for sharing your property, and love of dogs, with us.

A fantastic tree change getaway for busy city slickers

Who says you need to plan a family holiday mths/yrs in advance? This is a wonderful tree change getaway for busy Perth locals…drop everything, pack an overnight bag, runners on, pick up your doggie 🐶 and let’s GO! We had the best time recently at the studio. The mixture of relaxation, bush walks and bird calls met with modern comforts of Netflix access, tennis court/pool & supplied essentials allowed us to enjoy our stay fuss free and truly savour this space! Thoroughly recommend this place for a short term “unplug from the daily grind”…it’s just what the (tree) doctor ordered!

Beautiful property, perfect relaxing retreat with your dog 🐾

We loved our stay at this property. Very comfortable and cosy with the fire in the evenings. The walks were beautiful along the creek and the wild flowers were beautiful. Our highlight is how dog friendly this property is. This is especially important for us as our rescue dog is anxious and reactive so doesn’t get to experience the freedom to run and explore. Pup paradise in the hills

We had a wonderful weekend at Mount Olive Studio with our dog Winx. We all enjoyed the beautiful gardens, bush tracks, streams and wildlife such as kangaroos, baby ducks and what we are pretty sure was a barn owl! Winx was very excited about exploring and enjoying the smells, and it was a very rare treat to have such an area all to ourselves. We enjoyed sitting outside in the early evening taking in the light and drinking a nice wine. The studio itself was very comfortable and well equipped for self-catering. I forgot some of my warm clothes but it was fine as there is a warm fire, an electric blanket on the bed and some lovely fluffy blankets for snuggling on the couch. We had a lovely time and would love to return, particularly at a time when the garden is in full bloom. Tip for nearby activities - the Parkerville Tavern looks very good, but unfortunately for us the dog friendly area was full when we arrived for lunch, so we went to the Mundaring Hotel instead which is not too far away, has a large dog friendly beer garden and good food 👍

Refreshing and relaxing

Having 2 special needs dogs my holidays are limited for many reasons. Being able to take them away with me and feel comfortable with the space was majourly important. Having a huge enclosed area that blended into the landscape was amazing! It was like an extension of the surrounds which meant even though enclosed we didn't feel trapped behind a fence. My dogs loved it! It allowed me to relax knowing my dogs were safe. Having 20 acres on our door step that was basically ours to explore was amazing! Having the dams, and creak to investigate on top of all the smells from the wildlife made sure my kids were absolutely tuckered out. And if that wasn't enough a pool to share if needed, for humans and dogs. Enrichment deluxe here for the fur babies to use all of their senses. For humans who enjoy the out doors and like a hike the property has its share of steep hill tracks or easy meanders for the less enthused. The studio had everything we needed. Thankyou Junko. ❤
