Food was great. Service was wonderful. Bathroom in rooms at the Lodge very small. Otherwise room cleanliness was good. They could use less abrasive towels
Everything was wonderful. Very clean. The property is beautiful and the trails are located right outside of the lodge. The restaurant was very good. We ate breakfast in the main dining and dinner at the back door grill. We will be back!

Great service. Room tiny.
The service and food were exceptionally good. For those reasons I would return.
The room was tiny and the bathroom was way too small.
There was a coffee maker but no supplies to make a cup of coffee. No amenities in the room at all and the room was very outdated.
Over the course of my 2-night stay, I killed 3 mysterious black bugs in my room. There was no towel rack. The bathroom was so small that anyone taller or heavier than I am would not fit! I had to put the coffee maker on the floor in order to reach an outlet. I ate at all 3 restaurants: Each was mediocre at best. This location is, of course, perfect for accessing hiking, & the history is meaningful; however, they are charging for a nice hotel when this should be billed as a motel.
It was great to stay in the middle of Starved Rock. It made hiking really easy. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The on site restaurant was pretty good, but the little cafe had great coffee and cookies!

Check in was quick. The restaurant was well managed with good quality meals. The live band was fun. Beds were clean and comfortable.
Great place to stay and hike this beautiful park. The rooms were nice and clean, beds were comfortable. Everyone at the lodge is super friendly and helpful in answering any of your questions. I will definitely come back to explore the remaining canyons we have yet to see.
Staying in the park was convenient and nice. There is a lot of ambiance with old part of the lodge. The room as pretty small and basic (we were on the original side), no fridge, or coffee, very small bathroom...but all functional for our stay. The restaurant was good, breakfast was very good and dinner was ok.
All in all the property is perfectly placed due to the hiking trails that surround it. My Wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and our dinner was disappointing. All the GM of the Lodge compensated us, the overall feeling was unsatisfactory. The incredible weather and the scenery made up for the meal.
Was difficult because my husband in a wheelchair and pavement on much of hotel floor is rocky and uneven. I had an extremely difficult time getting him in tge front door in the wheelchair and no employee came to my aide. Adult swim is stated from 8 to 9 a.m. Children were running around the pool and yelling and swimming in my lane. I had to leave. Mentioned to kady at front desk who told me rule not enforced!!! Also, hot tub is broken. Looking at my bank statement I was double charged for a dinner at the hotel dining. I have to deal with that yet.
