This small, renovated room in Onekama was the perfect base for our recent trip. The space was clean and comfortable, ideal for two travelers or a solo adventurer. We loved the easy access to the lake and the friendly communication with the owners.
The room was exactly as described, providing a cozy and affordable option for our stay. If you're looking for a simple yet comfortable place to stay in Onekama, we highly recommend this option.
Owners were super helpful and active when it came to information that we needed. This is the perfect little gateway I will say it would be super hard to sleep more than 2 people in the condo - but seriously loved the view and area. Great views.
This is a studio space but packs a lot into it, including a great deck with a grill. Also is a wonderfully equipped entry hall with beach stuff, a wheeled cooler and beach towels. The kitchen has everything you need, with a cute retro look little fridge with freezer and microwave. Would definitely stay here again!
This place was cute but moving furniture and pulling the bed down to go to sleep was a bit much for me (64 years old). Loved the deck and privacy. The host, Kathy was great. Great location, loved the pool and being so close to Lake MI. Overall really enjoyed my stay!
Cozy indoor space, great for tiny living practice, located inside a house. The balcony of the house has a great view of Lake Portage. Lake Michigan is only a 3-5 min. walk. The space was a tight fit with our traveling crib set up, but totally doable even with midnight feedings.
A friend and I took a week long girls trip and stayed here. This was a perfect place for the 2 of us. It had all the activity tools we needed as out of town era so we could go beach to beach with the chairs, umbrella and cooler. It was absolutely peaceful and comfortable in the condo! Thank you!
This amazing studio was the perfect size for me and my girlfriend. We stayed here to go to crystal mountain to snowboard. It’s in a quaint location and a 2-3 minute walk away from public Lake Michigan beach access. We were able to drive into Manistee and Traverse City for dinner. The studio itself was so clean and nicely decorated. We loved it!!
We were very happy with this property. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay for 1-2 people. It is actually bigger than what might be initially perceived when you consider the foyer as a place to store things (eg luggage), the balcony with a grill and the community propery sitting areas. And despite it being a small place it is nicely decorated. If you don't require gathering space within the unit it is perfect for sleeping, preparing simple meals and as a home base for the area attractions.
This condo was perfect for a weekend getaway to Portage Point with my husband! Clean, comfortable and well appointed with all of the essentials. Makes great use of the space. It was nice to have a kitchen for cooking breakfast and the pool/hot tub to use. A beautiful Lake Michigan beach (our favorite in Michigan) that is a short walk away makes this an excellent destination! We have been coming to Portage Point for many years and happy to have this condo as an option when just the two of us visit without the kids. You won’t be disappointed!
I really enjoyed my stay at Beech Loft. The Murphy bed was very easy to use and I appreciated all the space I had in the room during the day when the bed was stored up. The microwave, refrigerator, and kitchenette were so cute and perfect to store all the snacks and drinks I needed. Beach chairs and an umbrella were included with the rental (among other extras!) and I was able to use them when I went down to Lake Michigan in the afternoons. The Beech Loft was truly a "hidden gem" at Portage!
As advertised, it's a small studio, but the space is maximized with plenty of storage and beautifully decorated. And, the bed is comfortable!
This studio is the perfect location to explore towns north and south of Onekama driving on M-22. I went as far north as Frankfort and as far south to Manistee, all within a 45 minute drive. I would have explored more, but I wanted time for the beach.
Speaking of the beach, the public access beach area on Lake Michigan can't be beat. It's stunning and less crowded than local favorites.
I'm looking forward to a return visit.
My wife and I stayed here 3 days for the start of our honeymoon and we really loved it. At first we were a little shocked to see how small it was but once we got the Murphy bed down and the room warmed up by the cool electric fireplace we fell in love. We kept saying how it would be an excellent bachelor pad. The scenic views were amazing even in the winter. The lake was frozen over and we had fun walking around the resort. Unfortunately the pool was closed in winter as it’s outside but the hot tub was open and a condo owner at the resort showed us how to open the lid and we went for a exhilarating hot tubbing alongside the frozen lake and it was magical. Great for pictures as well. I do recommend if you do that to bring a hat while hot tubbing so your ears aren’t cold which we forgot but we managed and enjoyed it very well. We’re interested in coming back for the summer as we think it would be even more exciting. They had an excellent market just down the road about a mile and we even got DoorDash to our room which was very convenient. We would definitely recommend this place for a party no bigger than two at our specific rental but if you were to get a larger size rental, this resort would be very fun for a group of friends American pie style. The host was very nice to us and checking out we actually forgot our wallet and had to drive an hour back to get it. The host was very nice and we retrieved it back with no issues and were on our way to our next spot. Thanks again.
Omg, EVERYTHING was soooo amazing! The place is soooo functional. The host have thought of EVERYTHING. Every time we said we needed or wish was there... It seemed to magically appear!
Loved staying here. Hosts were amazing at communicating, best ever. Place had amazing finishes and was so efficient with storage etc. highly recommend!
The Beech Loft had everything we needed, plus more. It was a cozy place and close to all the amenities Portage Point Inn has to offer. We utilized the full kitchen, loved the balcony and all the extra beach accessories to use - including kayaks!
