Villa 91 South Shores Resort, Normanville - lagoon view & beach/pools access!

Villa 91 is a trendy and modern Holiday Villa which has been styled in a refreshing beach theme. Located at South Shores Resort, Normanville on the Fleurieu Peninsula and with an outlook overlooking the lagoon, it offers a holiday experience with a difference for families and friends. The Resort is located in a private gated secure community, with direct access to the beautiful Normanville beach and is surrounded by scenic countryside where horses, cows and kangaroos graze.
Relax in the comfort of open plan living, kitchen (equipped with stove/oven, fridge and dishwasher) and spacious dining and lounge areas on the upper level. These areas open out through bifold doors to the balcony deck, where you can socialise, barbecue and have a drink or two whilst enjoying the views along the lagoon, which include water fountains and various birdlife. A powder room with toilet, basin and vanity located adjacent to the living areas is handy for your guest use. Also located on this level is a separate laundry area, which includes a washer and dryer for your convenience.
Accommodating up to 7 guests, this Executive style villa features 3 bedrooms, all located on the lower level and with built in wardrobes. From the Master bedroom step out to your own private deck area on the lagoon and alfresco area. The Master has a Queen bed and its own ensuite with shower, vanity and toilet.
Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed and bedroom 3 has a double trio bed (single on top, double below) - both have ready access to a generous size 2nd bathroom on the same level.
Enjoy the landscaped gardens of the South Shores Resort and various facilities including 2 solar heated swimming pools, bike track, basketball stand, children’s playground area and reserve/barbecue areas. Walk direct to the beach a few minutes away via the board walk at the rear of the Resort. Explore the many attractions of the Fleurieu region outside the resort, which include sporting activities, fine food, great local wineries, arts and crafts and a variety of festival, show and market events.

We had a relaxing stay at Southshores. The sound of the water fountains enhanced the experience. The apartment was clean & the sofas soft & comfy. It has all the necessities we needed. We loved the option to go to the beach or spend time in the pool. The whole property was well maintained.

A nice area to stay.

Some good and bad things. Upon arrival there was a long wait and a few phone calls and a text message for the manager to arrive for check in. As the primary organiser for the trip and stay, I approached and introduced myself to the manager and explained that I am deaf and I require people to speak a bit slower for me to lipread, the manager then immediately completely avoided me and turned away and communicated with my father and 6yo daughter instead and gave the pass key code to my father and the property key to my daughter and not to me as the primary organiser, all while persisting to avoid me and to avoid eye contact, as if I do not exist or not worth talking to. Upon arrival and entry to the accommodation, the accommodation looks nice and at a nice position at the lake. It is mostly shaded throughout the day as it is west facing across the lake. Plenty of space for a family of 4 adults one child. The accommodation was tidy but not clean, one can tell that they do not use professional cleaners and instead rely on the guests to clean and tidy up after themselves upon departure ready for the next guests.The air-con blows cold which is good, but the upstairs and downstairs control buttons do not work thus the aircon blows both floors indiscriminately. I had to text the manager that the gas bottle for the BBQ was empty, the manager did not make the reasonable adjustment to reply to me by text because I am deaf and seems to expect me as a deaf person to answer his calls.

DELIGHTFUL VILLA BUT NEEDS ATTENTION

Quite impressed with location and amenities. Not sure whether it is the owners, managers or cleaners responsibility but a list of what needs attention had been given.
