Excellent place for a large group!

Great spot for our Friends Reunion

We had plenty of room for all of us! Really nice property although it was a little tough to locate Schoolhouse. The place is well furnished with plenty of kitchen supplies and towels. It reallyis perfect for a family reunion. The pool was a little iffey but it's tough to keep a pool clear and clean in this heat. Definitely enjoyed the rental.

The facility was beautiful, well maintained, secure, easy to access, climate controlled (we had to use both air conditioners and heaters since a cold front came through while we were there). We loved the fire pit, outdoor chimneys, grills and nature circle.

Family Reunion at Acorn Hills

Acorn Hills is in a great location & has a beautiful swimming pool! This gated venue afforded privacy in a lovely, shady setting. I would definitely rent one or all of these houses again.

Family Reunion

This was our 14 th year to gather loved ones under one roof for an extended weekend. We rented the entire property ( four lodgings) All of my kids love out door fire pit's They have several and we made good use of them. No complaints about sleeping comfort. Kitchen in the main house is large enough to cook for a big group. Two full size refrigerators in that kitchen. We loved it.

We were very pleased with everything but the log cabin designed house. The log cabin had major issues with the air conditioning units. The management company compensated us for a portion of the rental price.

The large fenced in property with multiple houses worked well for our group. One house had an area large enough so we could all get together for or evening meals and games. Outside areas were great for kids to run around and play games. Several houses lost water one morning but management was quick to get someone out to fix it and was resolved in several hours. If you have a large group this property should work great for you. would definitely stay here again!!!

Business Retreat in NB

Overall the property served the purpose we needed. Everyone had a space to sleep without a bunch of bunkbeds like other properties. Having the log cabin (No Hurry) with a long table seating several people helped accommodate our business sessions and then we used Quiet Your Minds spacious kitchen and grill area as our main eating area.Some things to keep in mind. The properties weren’t as stocked with kitchen items as I would’ve liked and the items that were there have seen better days. Overall some of the homes are starting to show how used the VBRO is and the hvac had a hard time keeping up in a couple of houses. Mind you it was August in Texas but the room I stayed in was quite uncomfortable the last night. Would’ve liked the pool to be cleaner but again everyone enjoyed themselves and it served its purpose well.

Perfect For Our Family!

We loved this property! Plenty of space between each unit but close enough to enjoy! We brought our large family together for a surprise 50th birthday party and it was amazing. The property was just as described. Tons of fridge and freezer space made it easy for us to stock up to feed an army! On more than one occasion we talked about coming back for a family reunion! We had something for everyone. Modern updated house for me, my husband and our closest friends. A log cabin for our daughters and their husbands. A sweet antique home and smaller cottage for the grandparents. The only issue we had was no hot water in the hot tub. The hot tub and bubbler worked but it never got hot. Since it was 90 degrees everyday, it wasn’t a big deal. We just enjoyed the pool and ‘cool’ tub! It didn’t affect the weekend at all and we would go back in a heartbeat!

We had many family and friends in town for our daughter’s wedding and this property was perfect for everyone to spend time together leading up to the big day. The different homes were comfortable and offered privacy, yet we were able to gather without driving too. The managers communicated well, it was an easy check in, and we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!!

We rented all the properties here and had a wonderful time! We had 26 adults and 10 children and it was perfect. Plenty of places to sleep and the beds were comfortable. The hosts provided plenty of towels for each bathroom. They communicated what we would need to bring and answered all my questions quickly! We didn’t find out how to turn on any lights outside and was the only thing we wish we did have. The pool and hot tub were a hit!! It was spacious and close to Gruene. So we ventured out for dinner one night to Gristmil. We would recommend this place!

It was so nice. There were 38 of us and we rented the whole place. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves I recommend it for big family get togethers. There is something to do for every age. Just remember if you want to ho to Blue Hole be sure and make reservations early.

Review of log cabin

Log cabin was uncomfortable. The stand alone A/C unites were loud. The bathroom door in the 3 bed bunk house does not open and close easily causing loud noise during the night - waking everyone. No place to put toiletries in the 2&3 bed bunk house bathrooms. Lighting was poor in the mirror of the 2 and 3 bed bunk houses. (Cabinet above mirror shadowed ceiling light from mirror. ) An additional mirror in the bedroom would help. Need an outlet in the bathroom is needed for a blow dryer or flat/curling iron. Would like to have ceiling fans operate at night. Unfortunately the ceiling fans were wired to the lights and shut off when the light switch was turned off. Boooooooo! Major issue!!! The kitchen was well stocked with essentials but, too small to cook a meal for a large party of people.
