Private entrance with its own kitchen and private bathroom. Pet friendly yard. Nice view with a short walk to downtown Nevada City. High speed internet. The studio has a low ceiling so not be ideal for guests taller than 6ft. Please let us know your ETA so we can turn on the heater at least an hour in advance ahead of your arrival. Our stay was excellent. The service went above and beyond. What other reviews said is true. What was not adequately noted is this is not a senior or disabled person-friendly option. The terrain is steep with no railings. Wheelchairs would not be an option. I had trouble climbing the long length of stairs nearly falling several times. I also have some breathing issues that made the climb more difficult. This is where the superior care and service came into play. Sam, our host, went out of his way to accommodate us. All we had to do was call him and he would come immediately to our aid. As he lived upstairs, it was not far, but dropping everything and instantly showing up was unbelievable. Whenever we would arrive from our trips out all we had to do was phone Sam and he would come right down to offer his arm for assistance up the stairs delivering us to our door. Sam also carried our belongings, always with a warm smile and a great attitude. Sam is the reason for our outstanding stay there. He more than made up for any inconvenience. When railings are installed, I'd be more than willing to book another stay there.

This spot is perfectly located. We were just there for a quick overnight, not thinking too much about it, but it worked out so well that I'd just rebook here in the future. Lovely neighborhood, lush green yard, lots of easy parking, just a few minutes walk to the cute downtown, and right by the highway for driving off to the river or hikes. The studio is simple, well priced, has an easy check-in setup, and was a great spot for folks like us who just needed a touch down point, and a comfy bed, while we spent the rest of our time exploring.

Really Nice adorable digs in Downtown Nevada City.

Yes. It was perfect for me for visiting family and friends in Nevada City. Convenient and easy access to downtown. Also a plus that it was a west facing basement walkout, so it stayed cool for the hot summer nights and days. I would 100% stay here again.

Good and not so good. Excellent location, 5 minute walk to downtown. Park on High St and then a steep walk up to the studio. Tough if out of shape or any difficulty with steps. Crusty interior layout and finish but clean. Comfortable bed. Heard some pitter patter in the middle of one night. I forgot a shirt after leaving but the host proactively contacted me and arranged to mail it to me. Thanks Sam! This rental was appropriately priced.

great location! great price! clean and neat. very nice place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Do keep in mind that there is a low ceiling with a crossbeam. Anyone above 5'7" will be likely to hit their head. If you're not tall its a great value for the price.

Studio seemed very run down. Bed was old and uncomfortable, and the sheets did not smell clean. Sink and shower water did not drain properly. Critters running through the walls woke us up at night. We did not stay for our second night, we ended up staying somewhere else.

The accommodations were clean and sufficient for our stay however, I probably wouldn't recommend this property as the ceiling was very low and anyone over 5'9" would have a difficult time fitting into all the spaces (especially the bathroom /shower). I would recommend that the owner put a little money into their property to improve the living space.
