Montville is nestled in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland on the Blackall Range, approximately 40 minutes south-east of Noosa. The region is nothing short of spectacular with an awesome natural beauty that includes gorges and waterfalls, rainforests and scenic reserves, lakes and lilyponds - and magnificent sweeping views.

The weather is superb, with slightly cooler temperatures than the coast and far less humidity. The rural village charm, diverse architecture, and stylish shops and eateries, art galleries and wineries makes it one of Queenlsands premium destinations.

Renowned as a popular tourist destination, the Blackall Range boasts extraordinary views of the Glasshouse Mountains plus panoramic coastal vistas. Baroon Pocket Dam, Kondalilla Falls NP, Mapleton Falls NP and Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve are extremely popular, as is the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk which starts at Lake Baroon and winds through the national parks to Mapleton.

Montville Village: is 3 km East along Western Avenue from 305 with views to Mt. Coolum and the coast. Montville looks like an old world English village with lots of tourist shops, cafes, arts and crafts shops.

Maleny: a 1920s streetscape of interesting/eclectic shops, gourmet cheese shop (Colin James Fine Foods), organic market, large IGA for groceries, art galleries and on Sunday mornings go to the Community Hall for a farmers market & local crafts. Or visit the Maleney Dairy for a milking tour.

Pony trail rides: the Animal Farm @ Maleney.

4/5 Good

Great location and views
We really enjoyed our stay, it’s a little rustic and cobwebby but it adds to the country experience 😀.

5/5 Excellent

Peace and serenity
Very happy great place for a family long weekend everything you need and plenty of fire wood for the cold nights. We had a group of ten and the accommodation suited us to a tee. Thx Jamie

5/5 Excellent

We had an awesome stay.

2/5 Poor

Beautiful view - but that is it. (oh, and you cannot access that view at all)
We arrived at the house had a look around for about an hour and left. We were disappointed to see that the green fields as per the images actually does not form part of the property and we though that to be a bit misleading. The little garden space at the back is inadequate for a dog and the front unsafe, being unfenced and so close to a road. In the listing there is reference to "2 acres of private rain-forest gardens with views.... : Maybe an idea is to notify guest that this acreage is mostly sloped and unaccesable. Also in the listing - "The front of the property overlooks Baroon Pocket Dam " We found this to be misleading as there are no views from the front of the house. Will not recommend to anyone looking for pet-safe accommodation with easy accessable areas.

4/5 Good

Tranquil Beauty
Wonderful place to spend a relaxing few days. Internet a bit patchy and Netflix restricted to PG. Enjoyed it immensely.
