Bear Pause cabin is located in the quiet Laurel Springs Subdivision 11 miles outside of downtown Blue Ridge and is convenient to Ellijay (27 miles), Blairsville (25 miles), Copperhill TN (9 miles), and Murphy NC (19 miles). Access roads are primarily paved with the final road being partly paved and partly well-packed gravel. Four-wheel drive is not necessary to reach the cabin. The Bear Pause main entry is accessed either by steps or ramp. The front door enters into the open dining, kitchen, and living area on the main floor. The dining table seats four, while the kitchen has counter seating for two. The kitchen is equipped with side-by-side refrigerator/freezer; electric stove with smooth cooktop; microwave; dishwasher; coffee grinder and drip coffee maker; Keurig coffee maker; four-slice toaster; blender; various cookware, bakeware, and cooking utensils; eight place settings of dinnerware; hot beverage mugs; and various cold beverage glasses. The living area focal point is the gas log fireplace. There is plenty of comfortable seating for playing one of our board or card games, watching tv, or just enjoying one another's company. There is both front and rear access to the main level porch, which wraps around three sides of the cabin. This porch has outdoor seating, a gas grill, a fire table, and a picnic table. A bathroom with combination tub and shower and a queen bedroom is also on the main level. This arrangement is perfect for guests who find stairs to be challenging.
Stairs to the upper level take you directly into a designated workspace. To the right is the entry into the upstairs queen bedroom and bathroom suite. This bedroom has access to a private rear balcony with seating. The upstairs bathroom has a jetted bathtub and walk-in shower.
Stairs to the lower level take you to the downstairs game room, hangout area, 3rd bathroom and give you immediate access to the lower-level back porch. The game room and hangout area are equipped with comfortable seating, a tv, table for playing games or eating, games and puzzles, and a 60 in 1 video arcade. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Such a great stay! Our host was so personable! The cabin was more than we had hoped for and so well equipped and comfortable. Everything we needed and more! The view was outstanding. We've come to this area for decades and this was one of the best cabins and stays we've had.
Spacious, beautiful home in the woods! We had a great time in the area…dining, shopping, hiking. The cabin had everything we needed. The three balconies made it perfect to enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend it!!
Very pleased with cabin & amenities. Gorgeous & spectacular views. A very peaceful & nice place to stay. Enjoyed our stay very much & would highly recommend.
Beautiful house with beautiful views! The house was well equipped and they thought of small details to make the stay better. Great place to go out for daily adventures or stay home & rest. The listing mentioned a third bed downstairs but we didn't find one. Really enjoyed our stay and the cooler temperature.
Lovely location with a view of the mountains.Very clean and extremely well equipped kitchen. Many thoughtful details: tissues, coasters. cushions for the porch chairs. We met Tonja who managed and cleaned the cabin. She was very.nice and helpful.I'm thinking of returning for five days as it is such a peaceful place to stay.
We had an amazing stay at Bear Pause! Everything about our stay was perfect! The cabin was beautiful with such beautiful views and so much to do nearby! All the comforts of home were included and we would love to come back someday! This was the perfect stop on our way to Orlando for our family trip!
My husband and I have stayed in a lot of cabins through the years and this one had everything we always look for!!
Mountain Views, porches, fireplace, secluded, and clean! We loved our stay here
The cabin was perfect for our small group. It was extremely clean, spacious and well stocked. The balcony views were beautiful and we are hoping to return in the Fall. I had a question after we checked in and Kelli responded immediately. We highly recommend this lovely cabin!
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It was quiet and peaceful. We loved sitting on the balconies to watch the sunrise and sunsets. We always enjoy our visits in Blue Ridge area. We would highly recommend this cabin.
What a beautiful cabin! The mountain views from the back porch are amazing. Owner was easy to communicate with and gave us recommendations for food and shopping. Definitely first class!!
Cannot say enough good things about this property & the host! Fantastic location, thoughtfully well appointed property with easy access & great communication. The host even left a bottle of sparkling apple cider for my son & I when I mentioned he was turning 24 on our visit. Beautiful cabin with everything you need and more, we will definitely be back :-)
My wife and I have been heading to the mountains each October for the past 14 years. This is the only cabin in which we've stayed multiple times. It's clean, it's comfortable, it's well appointed, it's conveniently located, and the management is great to work with. Cannot recommend this cabin strongly enough. Our favorite place to stay in the mountains!

My boyfriend and I loved staying here. It was a perfect romantic getaway that we needed. The house was beautiful and the view was amazing!! I have been in several cabins before and the thing I loved the most was there was an informational book left out that gave you an overview of the area, dinning, and things to do. Will stay here again if given the chance!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this very clean and spacious cabin! Instructions to the cabin provided by the host were easy to follow, but gps takes you directly to cabin as well. The view is beautiful. We had no complaints and will definitely be back!
The kitchen was stocked with pretty much everything you could need to cook which made us very happy. It rained our whole stay but it was very cozy in the cabin. Downstairs game room is cool.
We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The views from the balconies were breathtaking. Anything we might have needed was already provided in the kitchen and the informational binder on the coffee table gave us all the information needed for visiting Blue Ridge. This is easily one of the cleanest cabin rentals we've ever stayed at.
