Great place, great hosts!
My brother, my friend, and I stayed at this fantastic historical cabin while we worked on my cabin a short distance away. This place is fantastic! It has everything you need and is super clean. The beds are comfortable and the fireplace really thawed us out after some long days in the snow and sleet. It was a great place to unwind at the end of the day. I wish I had been able to enjoy the beautiful lake a bit more than just looking at it in the morning, hopefully next time will be able to do that. Hosts are great, I would definitely recommend staying here if you have an opportunity.

Would rate Barb & Eva's cabin 5*+...the cabin has everything you would want, just like home. Great location on a private lake with views of fall foliage and water from the cabin. Outside, great place to relax and have a glass of wine or your preferred drink...Inside the cabin you could not ask for more! So much to do... cabin location is close to hiking trails and Copper Falls State Park and Morgan Falls. Ashland and Bayfield are a short ride where you can take a tour of the Apostle Islands...We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

Great location
The private lake was awesome and so beautiful with the Fall colors reflecting off of it! Great central location to Clam Lake, Copper Falls State Park, and Ashland. Would HIGHLY recommend making the moderate, steep hike to St Peters Dome and Morgan Falls about half an hr away. Small grocery store in Mellen with a great selection, otherwise, this time of year all local restaurants are closed Monday/Tuesday. Cabin was spacious and a great home base to return to with our infant daughter— our first vacation as a family (she’s 5.5 months old)! Would highly recommend staying here!!

Perfect Gateway
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful cabin, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. If you're seeking a tranquil retreat where you can immerse yourself in nature and relax, look no further! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene surroundings. The location is a true gem, offering a perfect blend of seclusion and natural beauty. The boys had a blast fishing, and my partner and I enjoyed exploring the enchanting woods. It's the kind of place where you can truly disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The cabin itself was a dream come true. Immaculate doesn't even begin to describe its cleanliness. It was clear that the owners take great pride in maintaining the property. Every room was spotless, and we felt comfortable and safe throughout our stay. The attention to detail was impressive. One of the highlights of our stay was the downtime we spent in the cabin. We caught up on some of our favorite shows, and the cozy, inviting atmosphere made it even more enjoyable. The well-appointed living space and fully equipped kitchen made our stay convenient and stress-free. We were so pleased with our experience that we're already planning our return visit. This cabin has become our go-to destination for relaxation and outdoor adventure. We can't wait to come back and create more cherished memories in this tranquil haven. Thank you to the owners for sharing this slice of paradise with us.

Beautiful clean, spacious, comfortable and well stocked cabin on a cute little lake. Perfect base for hiking, bike riding and day trips to explore the area. Even just sitting by the lake watching sunsets was great. Perfect place to relax , so peaceful and quiet. The hosts were easy to reach and answered promptly any questions we had. We enjoyed every day of our vacation.

Amazing doesn't do it justice!
This cabin is incredible. Imagine your family having a residence on a beautiful almost private lake and they let you stay there for a week. Everything was fully stocked, the kids fished and pedal boated, and we made S'mores by the fire. An easy drive to Copper Falls, Madeline Island and Morgan Falls. Great communication with the hosts. Cannot rate this highly enough.

Excellent!
This was the perfect spot for our family vacation! The cabin itself was clean and well stocked, the beds were comfy, and we had a great view of the lake. We kept busy by fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, relaxing in the hammock, and by hiking and biking to the many nearby waterfalls. After six days, the kids were still not ready to leave and wanted to know if we could come back next year! This place is a definite winner!

Great place!
We would totally stay again!! Loved it! Very well stocked and we felt totally at home. Paddled daily and swam even though it didn't get above 75 when we were there. The beaver and look were a nice touch, too.
