Hotel comfortable and atmospheric, situated in an interesting typically French small town. Evening meal was disappointing. MOST ANNOYING WAS THE REALISATION THAT THE 'PRIVILEGE' OF BOOKING THROUGH EXPEDIA HAD COST AN EXTRA EURO 17...LAST TIME!

My stay was all I had hoped for and more. A beautiful typically old style French Hotel, just as I remember them from my youth. Full of all that’s great about France and all run by really friendly and helpful people. Personally I couldn’t have asked for more. The restaurant, by the way, is fantastic.

Séjour de charme dans un bien joli village

Établissement emblématique de la région qui organise régulièrement des rassemblements de voitures anciennes. Mise à part la salle de douche qui mériterait une rénovation la décoration est très agréable et l literie confortable. Dîner classique sur place de bonne facture mais vous pouvez trouver d’autres restaurant au sein même de ce pourtant très petit village

Nous sommes venus pour passer quelques jours dans la région ou ma femme a passé ses étés de petite fille. Il était le 15 aout l’hôtel et était plein mais tout le monde est resté calme et ont fait tout pour que notre séjour soit agréable. Exemples : il n’y a pas d’ascenseur mais les jeunes filles de la réception ont monté nos valises dans notre chambre ; nous avions un sac thermos pour garder des choses en frais et le patron nous a mis les plaques thermiques dans le congélateur de l’hôtel..

Meget fint hotel liggende på torvet i en hyggelig by. Man kan spise på hotellet i enten restauranten, som er lidt dyr eller på deres brasserie. Dog har det ene lukket, når det andet er åbent. Det skal man lige være opmærksom på. Ellers er der også andre muligheder for at spise til aften i gåafstand fra hotellet.

Relaxing.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very nice, clean room with air-con. Easy free parking. Hotel attracts customers travelling in classic cars, added bonus. Food was excellent. The location was quiet & rural.

AMAZING HOTEL IN PICTURESQUE LITTLE TOWN - PERFECT

We love this hote, we have stayed about 8 times in total and keep going back because its simply quality, absolute top quality for a very reasonable price. Stunning rooms, beautiful restaurante, amazing food, attentive helpful services, lovely friendly staff, just the best, the very best.

Belle adresse avec beaucoup de charme

Au cœur de cette très agréable ville de La Chartre sur le Loir, voilà une adresse de charme aussi bien pour l’hôtel que le restaurant. Accueil très souriant et sympathique. A noter que les chiens sont admis mais uniquement dans l’annexe quasi mitoyenne. Rapport QP un poil élevé pour la chambre mais justifié au restaurant 35 euros entrée plat beau plateau de fromage et dessert. A refaire

Hotel de France - Vi kommer gjerne igjen !

Hotel de France kan absolutt anbefales for de fleste. Et særpreget hotell med masse sjel og sjarm. At hotellet ikke er det mest moderne alternativet blir kompensert gjennom høyt servicenivå, dyktig (engelsktalende) betjening, meget godt kjøkken og ikke minst hotellets spennende historie (spesielt for motorsportentusiaster). Et lite minus ved hotellet er at det ikke er heis i bygget.

JUST A LITTLE DIAMOND OF A PLACE

I just adore this hotel. Its simply one of the best I have ever used in France. Really friendly helpful polite staff, so so lovely, rooms are just beautiful, absolutely stunning in every way and impeccably clean and tidy. Food just amazing, and the most wonderful ambient place to sit and have a beer in the evening or a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. I cannot fault this place, its perfect. And its absolutely one of my favourite places to say every time we are travelling through the region. Wonderful in every way, you wont be disappointed. A really wonderful find for us 3 years ago and we just keep going back because it keeps delighting us with its general feel, ambience and wonderful location and staff.
