The carpet in the room needs to be cleaned. It had mud in it. I can tell that the carpet was vacuumed but the mud was still on the carpet. Otherwise, the room was clean. All staff was friendly.

I thought the staff was very kind. The property was centrally located and on a quiet road. There was a fridge and microwave which was nice. The facility and rooms need some serious cleaning/maintaining. My room was not very clean, especially on the floor.

Not like it used to be

We used to stay here years ago when visiting family and it was nice. Drove up this year to a dirty, crumbling building. Our room smelled like it was smoked in. They didn't even bother to take the chairs off the tables in the dining area. The "free breakfast" was cereal and sour milk. Heard people next to us talking till 5am. They weren't loud, the walls just seem paper thin. Only 2 small square pillows per bed. We booked 3 nights, only stayed the one. Lots of nicer places around.

Hidden fees

The staff was great. The rooms were clean. Nothing to fuss about the stay. The major gripe was that they absolutely do not accept cash. Cards only. Also, there is an additional 50-100 deposit that MUST be paid at check-in. This is separate from your booking fees. Does not matter who you are. Also, getting the deposit is hit/miss

Property has still almost 3 weeks later not returned the $50 deposit we put up. Owners have yet to return my calls to the property. Make sure you check your accounts after check out people. Thank goodness we called our bank today. The room was actually not bad. There was trash and food left in the garbage cans and on the Thursday night of check in someone tried to come into our room 2 times after midnight. The front desk said it was them. But they never said why? Lastly we had to listen to LOUD music from next door until 1:30am!! I called the police since the front desk would not answer the phone. I was traveling with my 74 year old mother who has Early Onset Dementia. After that we left.

Expected it to have a pool the pool was filthy expectation at the front desk was awesome housekeeping was awesome. Just didn’t have breakfast as the thing said it doesn’t have a pool like the ad said so I was disappointed in those two services. it was false advertisement. It said it had condimental breakfast didn’t have it said it had a pool and it didn’t pool is there but it’s not clean so I would not recommend the hotel for family the accommodations not what I expected for a nice hotel.

The property (building exterior and parking lot) was run down, unkept and nothing like the pictures. The lobby had a chemical smell, trash on the floor and an unprofessional receptionist. My room was reserved and paid for several days in advance,but when we arrived for check-in i was informed that there was no available rooms and would be issued a refund. I was forced to find another hotel, thankfully there are several well kept, clean and friendly hotels within just a few miles.

My room was clean and comfortable. I greatly appreciate the elevator and luggage carts that were provided! Many budget hotels do not have either one of these.That is one of the main reasons that I do not book at hotels where the doors open to a hallway. My suitcase has wheels, but not my ice chest or other items. Without a luggage cart, I would have to make multiple trips to carry my items from my car through the parking lot, lobby, and down a long hallway to my room. The free breakfast was very basic but good - just juice, milk, dry cereal, and waffles (no fruit, bread, pastries, yogurt, or instant oatmeal). Thanks for having a low peephole on the room door. Since there is no window by the door, I appreciate having a peephole and one that is low enough for short people like myself to be able to use.

Hard up in Houma

Sooooo…. I arrive.. Booked for room 109… SURPRISE!! There is no room 109… reception had to call the owner and ask where room 109 was. Booked for room 108. Card reader didn’t work. Go get a new card. Get in room. Used toilet paper.. Bed is hard as a rock. I’m only here for the night. Can’t sleep good. Footsteps and beating on the walls.. Shower has very little pressure and the handle came off in my hand. Ready for breakfast.. white bread and butter and waffles.. juice machine is broke. Milk is hot… I got a half of a glass of frozen juice out of a pitcher.. To say I’m a little upset is probably an understatement… But hey what do you expect?? 53$ a night for a place to lay my head? Nothing less..
