Best Experience That We Have Had With VRBO
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This VRBO cabin in Guffey, Colorado is an absolute gem! Nestled in nature's embrace, near Pike National Forest, it offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and comfort. Doug, the property manager, was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, from offering local tips to promptly addressing any queries. The cabin itself is a cozy haven, beautifully decorated with a rustic touch. Whether we were relaxing by the wood-burning stove, the outdoor firepit, the cozy shed, or exploring the nearby trails, beautiful sites, The Guffey Bakery, or Colorado Mountain Distillers, every moment was filled with tranquility, serenity, beauty, OR deliciousness! I highly recommend this cabin for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in Colorado. Thank you, Doug, for making our stay unforgettable!

New Years in Guffey
We had a wonderful day at the property in Guffey. Stay there over the New Year’s weekend, and we’re within close proximity of outdoor activities as well as the three very quaint eateries nearby. The property was spacious for everyone. We enjoyed ample seating in the living areas as well as the dining areas. The kitchen had everything we needed i’m with the winter weather not being too cold. We were able to enjoy the outdoor fire pit and barn. We would definitely love to come and stay here again. Thank you!

A Quiet Retreat
One of my favorite things to do was sit outside, any time of day or night, and bask in the silence. A family of deer visited us regularly and so I would pull a chair to the window, with dog in lap so she wouldn't miss out, and watch the trio eat and nap. I loved that everything I may have forgotten was provided. We will definitely be returning!

Guffey cabin
Great property in a town that time has stood still. All amenities, fenced in yard for dogs, easy access to eleven mile reservoir, great walking on gravel roads. Has a restaurant with live music a bar and also a bakery for all of your food needs which we enjoyed on multiple occasions and had a great Saturday night Italian meal.

Home away from Home
This was a wonderful place and gave all the home away from home feels. There was so many thoughtful things that were included. The price was perfect and the town was so small with the perfect little bakery. The only thing that was a down fall was the bedding all had hair on the sheets. I presume this was from a dog as was the same in all beds but not something you want to climb into bed too after a long 12 hour drive. Thankfully there was spare sheets and we changed the bedding.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE
WOW!! I cannot give this any higher praise. This was far more than was advertised. The cabin was perfect. My autistic grandson and I take a Summer Vacation every summer and he said "Grandpa this was THE BEST". They even went so far as to provide what was needed so my grandson and I could cook out Smores. They had a grill in the front and a propane fire pit in back. We were able to grill our dinner and then sit by the fire to watch the stars. Brian at the local store was a perfect example of the townspeople in Guffey. He took extra time to actually carry on a conversation with my grandson and then told us some of the "local secret spots" on Black Mountain for my grandson to explore nature. Thanks for an AWESOME vacation. And as my grandon said - "This was the BEST".

Best cabin ever!
I truly have no words, this place was perfect! The owners were so kind, and thought of everything! And clean is a big deal for me and this place was spotless! Pots, pans, everything was there and looked brand new! Even our 2 dogs felt at home, they had treats, dog toys and a pet bed waiting for them when we arrived! They also had a pet gate so next time we will be able to leave their kennel behind! We were so tired from driving 14 hours from Texas, we were so thankful there was cold bottled water in the fridge! This was the perfect location for us to visit many areas of CO that we wanted to hit in one trip! Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak, Breckinridge, Mt Princeton Hot Springs, everything was around 1-1.5 hours give or take in all directions. Royal Gorge is really close! Mugs restaurant in Canon City was delicious! Everyone in town was so nice and welcoming! We enjoyed coming back every night to our home away from home! Bakery/restaurant and Lodge with restaurant within walking distance, but very secluded from everything! The bakery had just closed when we arrived, but the owner saw us and invited us in for goodies! Be sure to Stop here! And the stars at night were amazing! Side note, the wifi was flawless, big plus! Already planning our next trip! Thank you, Doug, everything was perfect!
