The place was lovely. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
The apartment was spacious and larger than the listing photos made it look. Perhaps the high ceilings make it feel smaller in pictures. We had 4 adults and 2 small children and did not feel cramped.
Everything was quite clean when we arrived and we enjoyed the decor. The view of the ocean is wonderful.
The building was well-built and well-managed. Between family-friendly quiet hours and solid construction, we did not hear other tenants or the pool (once the door was closed).
Some reviews for other units in the building mention limited hot water. We seemed to be able to get hot water by just letting the shower run for a few minutes first. The porch door was too heavy for kids to open alone, but with a toddler who likes to climb, that wasn’t necessarily bad.
The location was good too. It was on a quiet corner of the island, so we had some space from the crowds, but it was still an easy drive down the Seawall to downtown, the pier, and the museums we wanted to visit. The beach was just around the corner from the lazy river.
Overall it was exactly what we were looking for and we would be happy to come back next time we are in Galveston.
