  • Mountain Getaway is a comfortable Elkford home perfect for work crews and families are welcome. The home offers cozy living spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, reliable Wi-Fi, and covered parking area. Located close to trails, recreation, and only a short drive from legendary Fernie, BC, it’s the perfect base for mountain living.

The house is a rundown duplex. It smells like cigarettes and cats. The first impression of the property is rough with garbage on the lawn. Decking was torn and exposed making it a hazard to walk on. This place is appropriate for work crews as listed on the listing but not for families. Not appropriate for small children. This is not a vacation getaway. Two out of four doors were unlocked when we checked in. This is budget shelter but unfortunately, not even on a budget has the cost of the rental did not describe the quality (overpriced). I would definitely not stay here again. The host was easy to communicate with and Check-in process with smooth and she was accommodating to issue refund for one night. Overall, this should not be advertised as a vacation rental. A budget motel would be more comfortable. We left a day early as we would rather spend time on the highway in our car and sleep in our own bed.
