"I stayed at The Westin Fort Lauderdale during a difficult trip related to a funeral, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing overall. I arrived shortly after midnight after a long day of travel and was initially assigned a room where I immediately noticed numerous small bugs/insects moving around the countertop area near the coffee station and TV/refrigerator area. To the hotel’s credit, the front desk did move me to another room relatively quickly and provided two $10 vouchers for the inconvenience. However, after finally settling into the replacement room around 12:30 AM, the guest in the neighboring room was yelling loudly for hours, well past 2:00 AM. By that point I was completely exhausted and did not have the energy to request yet another room change. The next day I also learned that food orders, using the vouchers that I received for my inconvenience, required going downstairs to place them in person, which was difficult as I was not feeling well physically. The staff I interacted with were polite, but between the cleanliness concerns, late-night room change, noise disturbance, and lack of meaningful rest, the stay added stress to an already emotionally difficult trip. I typically expect better consistency and comfort from a Westin property."

"Room cleaning only on request would be understandable if basic supplies were properly maintained. We stayed 4 nights with 4 people and had to repeatedly ask for extra towels, coffee pods, trash removal, and supplies. Shower gel ran out on day 3, and shampoo barely lasted the stay. Since breakfast was not included, we had food and takeout in the room, so trash accumulated quickly. The level of cost-cutting felt very excessive and negatively affected the overall experience."

"The staff are all excellent. In every aspect we were greeted with a smile and treated with respect. This was everyone from front desk, concierge, gift shop, pool staff, rental staff, cleaning staff, and restaurant staff. We felt so welcome. Amenities available were all excellent. Would highly recommend. Thank you."

"We loved our stay! Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was in the middle of everything but felt private and secluded. The availability of bicycles was an added surprise. The margarita pizza and included continental breakfast were both wonderful. Thank you, we will be back."
