Fantastic, unique property in prime location

Perfect Getaway with Amazing Hosts and Fun Amenities!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The property was amazing, both inside and out. Rich and his wife were incredibly kind and welcoming hosts, making us feel right at home. The location was unbeatableā€”convenient and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our family especially loved the open floor plan, the pool table, foosball table, and the outdoor grill. We would love to go back again!

Lovely stay!!

Such a wonderful space in the perfect location for exploring Big Sur and Carmel. Comfortable beds and pool table made it so exciting to get back after a long day of adventures!

Lovely barn in a great location

We enjoyed our stay. The barn was more spacious than the photos show. Very clean, with all you would need for your stay. A great location, close to the beach and beautiful hikes.

Beautiful spot for a family getaway

We couldnā€™t have been more comfortable or relaxed, and enjoyed the beautiful property and views. The space was fun for my 10 year old son and in walking distance to great beach views and hikes, and a short drive to Carmelā€™s village. Wonderful hosts and an excellent property!

Fantastic

This was a weekend stay for my husband and our two adult sons. Excellent communication with host. Check-in was seamless and they appreciated the orientation tour of the property. There are too many amenities to list, but the pool table and guitars were definitely a hit, as were the many TVs and comfy furniture. There was plenty of room to spread out and relax, and everything they needed was provided. The view was described as ā€œsickā€ by one of my sons and they all wished they were able to stay another day.

A Dream Property

This was an amazing and unique property. Really great space for the entire family. It does not offer privacy for parents but neither does a hotel room. Beautiful view, fun family time.

The brown barn is all as described and more. It is large, comfortable and has an ideal location. One couldnā€™t ask for better hosts. The kitchen is limited but does the trick. I highly recommend a stay here!

Staying at the barn is such a unique experience. We were able to enjoy Sā€™mores overlooking the ocean, feed and pet miniature highland cows and enjoy everything Carmel and Monterey have to offer. Plus, playing pool kept and foosball kept the kids entertained during any downtime. Weā€™ll definitely be coming back.

Fantastic Carmel Stay

What a great place and location! The remodeled barn was spacious, comfortable, stylish and unique! Perfect for our family of five. My husband and I did beautiful morning walks while the teens slept in. One day we explored Point Lobos and saw breathtaking views of bird island and the next day we walked through the nearby beach and found an ocean trail to Carmel River Beach. It's just a few minutes drive to downtown Carmel as well. The hosts were wonderful and even brought us some hay to feed the adorable cows before we left. Highly recommend!

Barn in Carmel

Highly recommend this property. Great family and place is new and built with love. The barn is amazing and great place for family with lots of space, fun things to do, great outdoor seating with water views. The kids had a lot of fun and it was only a few minutes drive to downtown Carmel for the adults. Highly highly recommend and will be returning soon.

Location location location and so much more!

Everything about our stay was lovely. Hosts are friendly and accommodating. Location perfect within walking distance to Point Lobos and beach. Driving distance to shops and restaurants and beautiful Big Sur. The barn building is comfortable ( love the heated bathroom floors) fire pit and electric fireplace added to cozy feeling. The views of the coastline and Pebble Beach was lovely. The cows are adorable!!

Perfect location! Very comfortable space.

This was our 29th anniversary and my husband and I had a glorious four days around Carmel, Big Sur and Point Lobos. You can literally walk across the street into the point Lobos park. We highly recommend the flying Fish CafƩ in Carmel, one of our best meals ever. Rich, the host was very interesting and pleasant. Overall, it was just a wonderful trip.

Our only complaint- we wished we had stayed longer! A seriously stunningly renovated barn in a beautiful location! Rich and Daryl, the hosts, are just wonderful and the barn is perfectly appointed! We just loved it! Cannot recommend more highly!

Lovely set up for Carmel / Big Sur adventures!

The brown barn was the perfect location for a wonderful two nights in Carmel. What more can you ask for? A great view from the house, two cows to say hello to, a grocery store just a few minutes away, and mere steps from Point Lobos reserve. And of course, the road to Big Sur is also right at your doorstep. Very happy with our choice in this property.

Carmel Birthday

The property is a large, comfortable, nicely decorated informal single space in a pastoral setting. Interior featured a kitchen area with counter, all the necessary appliances, dining table, lounging area and large flat screen TV (total of 3), separate bathroom with shower, electric piano, pool table and foosball table, and has large windows/sliding glass doors facing HWY 1 and ocean in distance. Location is great with easy access to all areas without feeling the closeness of city living. Minutes to grocery store, Carmel Mission, and restaurants, beach, and scenery of Point Lobos and Carmel Highlands. Adjacent cows and geese were great company.Rich was a superb host, and took an interest in us enjoying our stay. We had a great time and look forward to staying again.

Great property. Specially location which is right in the art of nature. Beautiful natural reserve park right across the street and really nice beach within 10 mins walk. My 6 year old son had so much fun just running around the house in the huge farm style yard. We git a nice weather and the sky was magnificent at nights. Rich, the owner is very nice and always available to help. We appreciate his friendly welcoming at the start.

Unique property, amazing location

We stayed for a full week at this super fun & unique property. Our family of 5 fit perfectly and had an amazing time! The barn itself feels very modern, with a fully-stocked kitchenette, large TVā€™s, and plenty of comfy seating. The kids played foosball & pool non-stop, ran outside to pet the cows, sat around the fire pit to listen to waves crashing while making sā€™mores, streamed their favorite show easily on the main TV to watch togetherā€¦ this house facilitates so much family bonding time. Itā€™s also right across from Point Lobos, a short drive into downtown Carmel, and grocery shopping is less than 5 minutes down the road. A wonderful place to stay in a beautiful location - definitely a gem!
