Nice and quiet house with private pool and open views

It is the ideal place for the one interested on the Saunière priest and its secret. The villa is facing the hill on the top of which is Rennes le Château. The mystery of this church has been put again up date with the succes of the Da Vinci code.
Some excellent views offer a panorama on surrounding corbières. The place is quiet in the middle of an area devoluted to nature. It is well-known by hikers and bikers and for ones keen on cultural discoveries. You are in the heart of the larger vineyard of France and where the famoux blanquette de Limoux is elaborated. The surrounding hills which have a temperate climate far away from the high temperatures of the seaside are ideal for white water sports and fishing with some good trout rivers. The people keen on cultural sites have also some major spots to visit like the citadel of Carcassonne classified at UNESCO World Heritage and the cathar castles in the vicinity.

The independant house of 120 m² built on the same level is comfortably fitted for 4 people. The garden has few shaded terraces with one facing the private swimming pool. The large pool of 9.5mx4.5m has a depth between 1.10m to 2m. Secured by a barrier, it is open from juin to end of september. Near the house a local train pass by 2 or 3 times a day.
The house has an entrance, a spacious living and dining room, an independant kitchen with scullery, 2 double bedrooms, 1 king size bedroom, 1 spacious shower room and 1 separated toilet. Nice furniture.
Open views on surrounding hills and on the castle.
Parking off road, sorry no pets.

Lovely house with pool in a quiet location
The area has lots to offer with restaurants and inland lakes but a car is essential. Disappointed that the train did not run during our stay (Aug 2018)

La maison est très bien située, dans une rue calme (et le petit train touristique ne nous a pas gêné puisque la voie n'est apparemment plus utilisée). La piscine est vraiment un atout car il fait très chaud dans la région. Concernant l'équipement, rien à dire, c'est complet. La propriétaire est sympathique et prévenante. L'air conditionné serait un plus....
