The property was beautiful and remote. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. Everything worked as expected and we had a comfortable stay. Communication was informative and accurate.
This place is perfect! The place is very new and clean, and the view from the balcony is incredible. It's a short drive to a lot of different parks for hiking, etc., highly recommend staying here!
Every detail was here!!! Beautiful cabin, great view, owner was really nice and responds quickly. The area has a little bit of everything!!!
We will definitely be back, very impressed.
It was a good cabin with a nice outdoor view. I liked the decor and modern feel. I liked the bathrooms a lot. I think there is a nocturnal hornet nest close by. They swarmed around when the light outside came on when we first got there.
Beautiful view. It was the clearest cabin we have stayed in. Beds were nice not lumpy or sunken down. Hot tub was clean and was very relaxing under the stars. If I have to complain about something it would be I wish it had king size beds. But as beautiful as the cabin was inside we didn’t care about the beds. We loved it so much we stayed another day.
Our stay was much needed after I was ran over by a semi truck about 3 months ago. The stay allowed my wife and I the time to reconnect and be thankful for the many blessings in our life. While there are a few minor items on the house that need fixed overall the house was amazing. It’s perfect for a couple or small family to get away. Our favorite part was sitting in the hot tub at night and watching the stars! We even saw a shooting star! We also enjoyed driving to the Natural Bridge and checking it out.
Was a really nice time with my wife. We took the week and really just wanted privacy and a quite time and that's what we got. The views around the gorge was a good time and we enjoyed the hike to the natural arch. The door to the patio wouldn't lock without some effort so we just left that be. Besides that everything was a great time.
It was a great place and beautiful location… a little more secluded than I imagined. Enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub, gas stove, and waterfall showers. I’d only give 2 recommendations:
1. Have a covered spot on the porch. It rained most of our stay and there was nowhere to sit outside where we wouldn’t get rained on.
2. We felt terrible we didn’t have any cash to tip the cleaners. Maybe mention it somewhere while booking.
We took our family here recently for their spring break and had a wonderful time. The house was the perfect size for our family of 5. There are plenty of windows throughout so lots of natural light and unobstructed views of the beautiful surroundings. Everything looked practically brand new with contemporary fixtures and appliances. It was nice to be in the wilderness, yet still have the comforts of modern day life. This was our second visit to Red River Gorge and while this house was located further away from the main strip of restaurants and hiking trails than the previous house we stayed at, it wasn't too far of a drive. All of our questions about the house prior to our visit were quickly answered. We would definitely consider staying here again for future visits.
This property is in an incredibly beautiful setting. Gazing at the night sky from the hot tub after a day of hiking was a highlight. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this property.
It was absolutely heavenly! We really enjoyed our stay and would surely come back. We loved the hot tub, decor and overall feel. Beautiful place! Would highly recommend. It would have been nice to use the fireplace on a couple of cool mornings, but it was out of propane. Be sure to have it ready for the upcoming guests!
One of the best getaways ever. The location, the house, and the amenities were all perfect for us. The hot tub is amazing, the house is so stylish and cozy, and it's very peaceful to relax on the deck. We highly recommend the Red River Barnhouse and we will be back soon!
We throughly enjoyed our stay at this little red cabin. It was easy to find and exactly as listed. The views were great and the best part was the sunken hot tub. Nice little getaway from the city!
My husband and daughter had a wonderful Dad/Daughter trip! The house far exceeded expectations and the sunrises were spectacular!
Thank you for the gift of this retreat for them❤️
