Beautiful beachfront property in cozy Palm Cove
Wonderful condo! Our unit (#4) was on the first level above the pool but still high enough to avoid street noise. Entire condo was luxuriously appointed, and the king bed (only bedroom we used) was so, so comfy and the air conditioners and ceiling fans work very well and cool the place quickly. We especially loved the pool table and jacuzzi tub. WiFi was very strong and reliable which was a huge plus as we opted not to use our data plans on the trip. Palm Cove is a beautiful area! We did a Kuranda day tour and an outer reef snorkel tour, and both tour operators picked us up in front of the property. Uber to Cairns cost about $40 USD on average. There are great restaurants in walking distance from Island Views. We arrived late the first night, and management had my keys waiting for me in a lockbox by the garage entry. I really appreciated that they contacted me upon booking and we were able to make arrangements for my late arrival. Our stay at Island Views was nothing short of amazing, and I’d happily return! P.S. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness only because tiny ants were crawling over the countertops and furniture. Maybe this is the norm in FNQ? For what it’s worth, they didn’t bother us too badly and I never noticed any bites.
