Nice place
Very cozy little cabin, the only reason for 4 stars on location was because lack of cell phone service and lack of restaurants close by. Remember to get and save the check in instructions before you arrive, because you won’t be able to get them from VRBO app without cell service. For restaurants- the only restaurant close is inside the Mt Princeton lodge, they are reservation only and pretty pricey, you will need to reserve for dinner the day before you want to eat there. Otherwise you will be driving 25 minutes into Buena Vista to eat anywhere. Owner was good with communication and cabin was clean and stocked with soaps, towels, spices, dishes and all other basics. They did have some board games and puzzles to keep busy while hanging out. The stream was not fishable in the wintertime because it’s froze over, but in the summer months it would be nice I’m sure.

Cute place, friendly host but colder.
My family & I rented for our kids spring break. We accidentally booked 2 nights instead of 3 & arrived a day early. When we arrived the front door was wide open & I contacted the host to let her know. She kindly let me know that we were a day early. Luckily, no one had booked it and she was nice enough to let us stay! The main cabin was very cold the first 24 hours we were there. We started a fire & turned heaters on. The fireplace is small & makes the cabin smokey. It’s not clear when you book that the cabin & the annex are separate buildings. When booking, it’s listed for 4bd 4 ba, I was asked to indicate how many people 4+ would be there and I indicated 4 as we had a 2 yr old, 4 yr old and 3 adults. After we booked, I realized we were only getting 2 bd 2 ba. When I reached out to the host to confirm, she stated that only if we had 5+ people with us would we only be able to use the other 2 beds I indicated we did have 5 people coming and were charged for an additional person for 3 nights. Which is fine we were just a little surprised. After arriving, the annex and main cabin are pretty far apart so I didn’t feel comfortable putting my kids in the separate annex. We ended up having all 4 of us sleep in the main room. Not what we were expecting. Found it odd that the host (not vrbo) requires a separate rental agreement that asks for your personal address & names of everyone staying. Additionally, we found cameras outside the cabin pointing toward the hot tub.

Peaceful and cold
I have mixed feelings on this place. The location is great- peaceful and not too far away, the hot tub is a nice addition, and the host was professional and prompt. Though the listing is technically accurate, it’s rather rosey in its description. Similar to others’ experience- it was cold upon arrival and took a full 24 hours to warm up. The living room heater does not provide much heat. Since we didn’t have wood the first night (it is in the listing to bring it, but it’s hard to see - don’t forget it!) we had to wear outdoor gear all night which didn’t make for a comfortable stay. It helped to keep the window shades down, but it left us in a cold dark cabin... I think it would be a much better experience in the summer.

Weekend getaway
A much needed getaway. Cozy, quaint, and lovely little cabin was just what we needed. A little chilly, used a lot of firewood. We brought some of our own. However I did notice there was some out back. Host was very accommodating, letting us add on an another night.

Cute cabin in a great location
We reserved this cabin just after Christmas for 2 nights to take our oldest son to the hot springs during his holiday leave from bootcamp. The cabin is as described and our only complaint was it being extremely cold the evening we arrived. The two bedroom electric heaters and wall propane heater took nearly 24 hours to get the house to a comfortable temperature. There is a wood burning fireplace however we did not bring firewood and the wood outside was snow covered. If you come in the winter, pick up some firewood on your way, just in case! There is a small market place at the hot springs which carries it. The hot springs also has a great breakfast and dinner menu for those not wanting to cook.

Perfect Location for a Fall Getaway
The property was exactly as pictured on VRBO, surrounded by trees, and across the street from a wildlife meadow. It was so nice to have the hot tub to relax in, and the opportunity to have a fire in the outdoor firepit. Even though there were other homes around, the property was large enough to feel very private. We enjoyed everything about this cabin.

Nice mountain cabin, as shown. Location was good as we wanted to explore the area. We have been to that area several times in the past. Cabin was better than some we have stayed in but, not the best. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. The electric wiring i (outlets) and light in the main bathroom left a lot to be desired. The majority of the outlets in the cabin would not hold a plug (keep enough contact) for use.. We really enjoyed watching the residential deer that roamed through the yard in the mornings and evenings. All in all a decent place to spend a few days. Quiet location and trees and stream.
