Some things were amazing but it was the little things that let it down. Beds - Wonderful Shower pressure - Sensational Floor - dirty and sticky Outside Bins - full and smelly (nowhere to put our rubbish as requested) Door lock - complicated Wifi - disconnected

The house was clean. The heaters worked well. Nice view of the water and Geelong from the house. It would have been even better if the bins weren’t full when we arrived, if paper towels had been available, if the light in the dining room worked, if there was more than 2 rolls of toilet paper, if the keys to the back door were available. There were ants in the dishwasher. Leaving a fresh rose from the garden was a lovely touch.

Presents well but a few issues need ironing out
The property itself is a nicely renovated brick home. It presents well and was clean. Our main issue was that there was no instruction manual for anything in the house, so it took a while to google how to work the heaters (it was very cold!). Also the television remote was broken so we were unable to use the TV (not great with 4 kids). It also took a while to figure out how to use the stove top (an on/off switch on the wall in case anyone else has the same problem!) so dinner was very delayed. I sent a message to the host on Friday night when we arrived, but it was only answered on Saturday evening suggesting to use Foxtel remote even though they didn't have Foxtel. Have since sent a follow up message and not been answered. A few simple things that could have been ironed out had there been better preparation and communication.

Very disappointing
I had booked to stay a week with my little dog, and ended up not staying even one night. The backyard is secure, however the grass was very long and uncared for, making it unsafe for my dog (there could have been rodents, sharp objects hidden in it). Rubbish, including used ear bud cleaners, burger wrappers, on the ground and in the garden. Inside, the cupboard under the sink was filthy and had mouse droppings in it. Then in the laundry/porch area there was a half smoked cigarette butt left on the window sill. These things were totally unacceptable to me and I did not stay even a night, despite the owner telling me that a bed 'had been slept in'. They only had to check the security camera footage to see me departing and not coming back. It took a week for the owners to reluctantly give me a partial refund, due to their belief I had stayed there and they 'had to get the property cleaned '. I disputed this but for the sake of moving on, accepted the refund offered. The property and yard was not hygienic or suitable to stay in. I was very disappointed and quite shocked at the neglected state of the property.

Fantastic house and location
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The house was very neat and tidy, great location and suited our family perfectly, and being pet friendly enabled us to bring our 2 dogs with us on our family break away. We have already rebooked our next stay :)
