The Cabin is really cute, our favorite part was the balcony. However the upkeep and cleanliness was very poor. There was a lot of hair in the floors, the couch was is stained and it looks dirty. The paper towels in the kitchen and toilet paper were almost out.

Cute and cozy. Unassuming from the outside, but really cozy on the inside. Comfy bed! excellent AC. The deck was really awesome but couldn't use for long due to the winds.

Small casita

This was our second stay with this owner. We have been happy with both visits. The toilet was running when we arrived but the owner had someone come immediately and the problem was repaired before we returned from dinner. The casita is nice sized for the two of us. We would stay there again.

This tiny dwelling was exactly what we needed. Our children play football at the local university, and we drove into Alpine to watch the game and hang out. This small cabin was laid out well and quite comfortable. The bedding smelled freshly washed, and the furniture was inviting. We will definitely continue to book this cabin for future trips.

Cute Little Alpine Stay

House was nice for two nights, owner was responsive with questions and also had a nice little info book. Unfortunately it was super foggy when we went so cannot comment on the star gazing deck but would imagine that and the view from the bed are great when it's clear!

Great location to star gaze and communicate

Nothing negative to express. Even though the TV was out of order, didn't need it when you have good company and a view of the beautiful night sky. The wifi worked perfectly so we were able to listen to our music of choice. In final, we will be planning a future stay.

very comfortable and clean

The house is small, but it was perfectly adequate for the two of us; just what we needed. It was clean; the kitchen was furnished with a good coffeemaker, microwave and refrigerator, as well as cutlery and dishes. Very comfortable; I slept better there than at home. communication was very good with the owner. It's a bit tricky to find so watch the house numbers. The night sky here was amazing. Would love to go back,,.

My needs were well met.

The place was reasonably clean. Nobody bothered me. The bed was comfortable. There was no negative smell. I did not see any signs of insect or rodent infestation. The fridge and heating/ac unit worked well.The only reason I wouldn't stay there again is because it's further from the park than I realized.Otherwise, for the money, I could not ask for more.

Convenient but bugs

Convenient location to McDonald Observatory (50 mins) but there were bugs under the pillows and around the unit. We didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the bed but we arrived too late in the day to drive around and find somewhere else to stay. Property is at the end of a dirt road but still felt secure. Easy keypad to access unit.

Snakedays first night

Cute little cabin on the very edge of town. Were in town for herping event so was good for us as we were not in the house much. Biggest concern going in was the AC situation. Wall mounted motel type unit did the job... too cold for me but perfect for the wife, which is normal for us. Very much a dorm room feel to it as the sitting area and the bed are only separated by a partial wall. Shower water pressure was amazing and mattress was comfy. Recommended for a couple but think large would be problematic.

Good location but needs a good cleaning

There were several good things about this place. The sky deck was very enjoyable. The little "cabin" is cute. The location is great for someone who needs to walk a dog. The owner made check in very easy. However, the bathroom floor and shower were not clean. (We wore our shoes) The microwave had to be moved and the top of it and the fridge were filthy. It was dirty behind the trash and in the corners of the room. The sheets and bedding didn't seem clean. We gave this place a 4 anyway because there were so many other good things. If this place had a good cleaning it would be fantastic. :)

Everything was perfect except for there was bedbugs in the headboard so we had to sleep on the pull out sofa. It was close to everything in town and very cute, plenty of amentities inside. The price was great but the bathroom looked like it needed a thorough mopping

Shower and bathroom had mold, hair clogging up the drain, broken tiles with molded grout. Dog hair everywhere. Sky deck was wobbly which was concerning. Otherwise the location wasn’t too bad, saw some wildlife around the property. Host was fairly responsive.
