Very well present, spacious apartment with large balcony, but too far & high-up from beach for us

The rental was good value and straightforward. The apartment was very good inside but too a bit far and too high-up from the beach front for us. La Herradura is a very quiet, very friendly place - but like many Spain resorts is now somewhat in need of renovation and rejuvenation.

Excellent Apartment

Every detail from booking the accommodation, communicating with the owners, arriving and getting into the property and staying in the apartment was an absolute pleasure for us. The disappointment was that the dishwasher wasn’t working. As we had rented the property for over 3 weeks, and as I only look to rent properties that have a dishwasher, we didn’t relish washing up every day and so ate out most of the time, hoping that the spare part would arrive but it didn’t. This of course added to the expense of our holiday. Sorry Robert and William, everything else was perfect.

Sea view apartment

This is a beautiful and spacious apartment for 2 with wonderful views over La Herradura and the Mediterranean. The terrace is a great size for eating out and sun bathing. It is located in a quiet residential area but near enough to the beach and promenade. The hill up is steep but don’t let that put you off it’s manageable. Overall it was a lovely property lovely area and the owners were very easy to deal with throughout the whole booking.

Wonderful, as always

This was, I think, our fifth stay in this delightful apartment. It was as charming and comfortable as ever, and the view just as entrancing. The walk back up the steep hill from town is always a challenge, but I am glad that at 83 I can still manage to do it .

A comfortable appartment with a wonderful sea view

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Robert and William's appartment. The appartment was very clean on arrival and we quickly settled in. The balcony is the icing on the cake and enjoys a sunny vista overlooking the bay of La Herradura. The town is charming with a good range of restaurants and bars and a long seafront. The centre is within walking distance of the appartment, but as other guests have remarked the return walk is relatively steep. Having said that the walk itself is very pleasant winding through the old town. You can of course drive into town, but we only used the car for shopping. There is an excellent fruit/veg/fish market in the neighbouring town of Almunecar, which is only a short drive. The appartment has all that you need in the way of cooking utensils, so preparing food is not a problem. We are definitely looking forward to returning for another visit.

Vistas impresionantes!

El alojamiento está muy bien equipado y bien cuidado. Merece la pena las cuestas que hay que subir para llegar hasta él porque las vistas son espectaculares. Es recomendable reservar también el parking. El aparcamiento por la zona es complicado.

Vi har bara positivt intryck av denna fina lägenhet, fantastisk terass och utsikt. Bra planerad och bra läge. Inget att klaga på, vi hade toppen dagar.

Ein toller Ausblick, schön gelegen.

Der Ausblick Richtung Süd-Westen ist gerade in der Nebensaison klasse und in weniger als 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuß am Strand. Die EInrichtung ist sachlich, modern. Die Vermieter sind nett. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A stunning modern apartment with an equally stunning view!

We had a wonderful stay at this bright, modern and immaculately kept apartment. Everything we needed was to hand and the comprehensive instruction/guide book provided by the owners was excellent. La Herradura is a beautiful coastal town and the views of the town, the mountains and the coastline were quite spectacular from the sunny balcony. Be aware the apartment is at the top of a steep climb from the town so you should either be physically fit or have a hire car. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Meer und Blick

Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen, der Blick war einmalig und La Herradura ist ein schönes Städtchen. Die Garage war sehr praktisch, da es sehr schwierig gewesen wäre Parkplatz zu finden. Wir fanden nur, dass der Weg von oben bis hinunter in die Stadt doch sehr anstrengend war. Wir haben das Auto kaum benutzt wegen den Parkschwierigkeiten. Das Appartement war sehr gut eingerichtet und alles was man brauchte war vorhanden. Das mit dem Schlüsselfach war auch Eine gute Sache und hat gut geklappt. Schade war nur, dass das Appartement erst ab 17h00 zu beziehen ist.

Superb indoors and fantastic views!

This is an excellent apartment, well equipped, very comfortable and in a beautiful position to view the sea and this wonderful little Spanish town. I cannot recommend this highly enough. All communications were timely and comprehensive and the information provided beforehand and then during my stay was useful and informative. I would certainly like to return!

Fantastic view and spacious flat

Well equipped flat. You need to be in good condition to walk to and from the villige as it is situated on a fairly step Hill. Fantastic terrasse to enjoy the Sun but cold in the Evenings. Good there is a Heather 👏.

Appartement très bien équipé (seul petit bémol peut-être : il faudrait un peu plus de vaisselle), très propre, très agréable. Garage très pratique Vue merveilleuse à partir d'une immense terrasse. Plein de choses merveilleuse à voir dans la région Bref, à découvrir sans hésitation. Merci à Robert.

Fantastic view

We had a fantastic holiday at Opazo Beach View, the apartment is really classy and well appointed with everything you need whether eating out or fully self catering. The view from the balcony is stunning and we made a point of sitting there with a cold drink taking in the sunset on most evenings.

Nice to meet you guys - the apartment was lovely - equipped with everything you might need and nothing you didn't. Dips in the pool were very welcome - especially after the climb up from the beach in the midday heat! And what a view!

Lovely apartment and location

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment with its superb location. The apartment was as described, clean and well maintained. The terrace is a lovely size with fantastic views of the sea, mountains and La Herradura below. Unfortunately the weather was unsettled during our stay and we were not able to use the terrace as much as we would have liked. This is the third time we have visited this area but the first time we have stayed in the centre of town. We loved how we could walk down to the shops and restaurants without needing to use the car. We found the walk down is lovely and quaint although some might find it fairly strenuous walking back. We took advantage of using the garage parking and found this very convenient and secure. The instructions provided for the apartment and garage were very straightforward and helpful. We certainly love this part of Spain and the variety it offers – from small unspoilt white villages in the mountains to the natural park of the Cerro Gordo with the pretty coves and beaches on your doorstep. We would certainly recommend the apartment to our friends and family.and look forward to returning in the near future. Diana K

Opazo Beach apartment was exactly the home-from home we were hoping for.

The property was well equipped and had wonderful views. The town with all bars/restaurants, beach & chiringuitos is a 10-15 minute walk down a few flights of steps so a degree of mobility is required. It is possible to vary the route through charming cobbled lanes and ease the ascent somewhat. La Herradura is relaxed and welcoming and provided all our needs for our 2 week stay. Lots of interesting and picturesque places to visit within a short drive, especially Frigilliana & Competa.

Blue Sea and Sunshine

We enjoyed our stay in this delightful apartment. It is spacious, well-appointed, spotless and very comfortable, and of course the terrace and the view are superb. We had lunch outside every day and sunbathed every afternoon. We were lucky with the weather as there was brilliant sunshine for almost all of our two January weeks. Having a keysafe is great, as there are no hassles with checking in or leaving. And the host is responsive to texts and emails. We had stayed near here the previous winter, so the steep hills and steps of La Herradura held no surprises. (At 80, I am a little slower walking uphill than I was last year, but I managed just fine and we walked down for coffee and shopping every morning.) The only downside, for us, was that we had just spent two weeks in a centrally heated apartment in Almunecar and coming here to just one small radiator for a large apartment was a bit of a shock, as the January evenings and early mornings are chilly. We had to buy hot water bottles from the farmacia as the bedroom was so cold. Other than that, though, everything was great.

Wonderfull Holiday appartment

The apartment was all we expected and more. The sea views were stunning and the owner Robert was extremely helpful and easy to contact. The rooms were spotless and it has two toilet/shower rooms.. Although high up in the back of the town the sea front was easy to reach via steps down from nearby. On the sea front there are many restaurants and bars. Also mini supermarkets with a wide selection of British and Spanish produce. Eating out on the balcony was an unforgettable experience and an overhead canopy could be used to protect from the sun when needed. There is excellent parking facilities in the basement of the apartments and were very secure. All in all a holiday to be warmly remembered. I would highly recommend booking this apartment for a peaceful luxury break.

Wonderful holiday in a superb apartment

Opazo Beach in La Herradura is a lovely apartment with everything you could wish for.... and more besides. It is located at the top of the old town in a peaceful residential area. The property is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. There is a large balcony with superb views of the bay.. It is perfect for relaxing, sunbathing, eating out,. We really enjoyed watching the stunning sunsets as we drank a glass or two of wine. Perfect.! La Herradura is a lovely unspoilt laid back Spanish seaside town. There is a good range of eateries, small supermarkets, market. There are good walks, beautiful coastline and mountains - a perfect base for exploring this lovely area of Spain

The apartment is wonderful the only thing it was missing is air conditioning a real must in the summer months !! A very hilly steep walk back up from the town but a very quick drive down to the town . Would definitely stay again !!!

Very smart apartment, amazing view, great location.

Really enjoyed our time in La Herradura. Opazo beach view is a really nice apartment, clean, tidy, comfortable, spacious, with amazing views from the balcony. The beach is very close and other towns and beaches are easily accessible if you hire a car.
