"Great place if you like luxury meets jungle"
The villas were everything we expected. One issue however is that the bathroom drains are not trapped properly and gas comes back in from sewer. Also, our room had a lot of ants but you're in the jungle so it comes with it. Overall a great place. Staff go above and beyond.

"Great hotel, incredible staff"
There are enough reviews that tell you about the room, the pools, the views and the amenities. All I want to emphasize is the fact that I've never stayed at a hotel, even those renowned for their service and their staff, with such a sharp, well trained, and empowered staff. Their opinions were their own, and quite refined. They knew how to address my issues rather than follow a script. An example, when we wanted to take the complimentary shuttle into town to catch an appointment, and it was before the running times of the shuttle, and there were no drivers around, and no taxis to call in time, the front desk staff (planca?) jumped out and from in front of the desk, got a restaurant staffer to take his place, and drove us into town. Special thanks to joy who seems to be running the restaurant with all her expertise and knowledge, and to the manager yann for all his specialized support

"Lovely hotel, close to everything."
We stayed at the Alaya for 3 nights. The staff are wonderful, very attentive, friendly, and professional! The rooms are immaculate, big, and have everything you need. My only downside is that the pool is a little small for the size of the hotel althought they are expanding and you should be out exploring Ubub anyway :)

Quiet hotel set in beautiful country surroundings. Close to town. A short walk outside the hotel took us into unspoilt countryside and rice fields where we watched the locals at work.

"Perfect location in Ubud"
Splurged on a private villa which was perfect. Food was wonderful and was served in my villa. Staff was sweet and helpful and they truly cared if I was having a nice time. Location was excellent for exploring Ubud and walking to numerous yoga and spa facilities. I would return in a heartbeat.

"Beautiful hotel from which to experience Ubud."
Alila Ubud is a Kiwi Collection property and beautiful home base for time spent in the Ubud area. Complimentary shuttle service runs from the hotel several times a day to/from central Ubud and takes about 10-15 mins each way. Rooms and villas are clean, quiet, have beautiful jungle views, comfortable beds and quality linens. Rooms also have safes. Bottle water is complimentary in rooms. The hotel restaurant is excellent as is the service. Breakfast is complimentary. Water is filtered. The tasting menus (5/7 course) are worth every penny and the wine list is impressive for Bali. An infinity pool surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs, umbrellas and huge soft towels is the perfect place to relax the afternoon away. Mind to tuck your property safely where the monkeys can't steal it, they pop up all over the property and are very entertaining to watch. Did not experience the spa but it looked serene and clean, though much more expensive than spas in Ubud center. Would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Bali unless they have considerable mobility issues, as there are many stairs on the property.

    Where to stay in Bali?

There is something so authentic and charming about Bali that many people never want to leave. From the warm vibe and rich cultural atmosphere to the incredible beaches, you won’t soon forget your next excursion to Bali, Indonesia. Highlights of this small island include adventure tours in Denpasar City, whitewater rafting in Sanur, and a bounty of resorts for any type of holiday.

Things to Do in the City

No matter what kind of lifestyle you like to lead, Bali offers an incredible number of activities to undertake during your stay on the island. The variety of ancient temples on Bali are a huge attraction for fans of history and culture, while the sprawling beaches are ideal for those just looking to relax. Additionally, there are tons of outdoor activities for eager explorers. Choose to embark on a boating expedition to Lovina for an up-close encounter with dolphins, or check out the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud for a once-in-a-lifetime experience among more than 600 long-tailed macaques.

A haven for wave-lovers, Bali is also home to some of the hottest surfing spots on the planet. This is especially true along the southern coast of the country, and in the waters off the Bukit Peninsula. If you love water, but hanging ten isn’t quite your style, grab a paddle and hit the rapids on a whitewater rafting trip down the western side of the Ayung River. And if you’re looking for an experience that’s a little less daunting, but every bit as fun, Waterbom Bali water park is an aquatic escape that’s a blast for the whole family.

The balmy Bali climate is one of the most alluring aspects of this idyllic escape. As the island lies a mere 8 degrees south of the equator, temperatures remain tropical year-round, ranging from 20 to 33 degrees Celsius with an average humidity level of 85 percent. The mountainous middle of the country doesn’t get as warm as the coast, but it does enjoy more rainfall than the outlying areas. Bali’s dry season, which roughly runs from April to September, is peak time for tourists, though off-months can be quite nice as well. This holds true unless you’re staying in the mountains, where the temperature can drop substantially.

    Bali Hotels and Accommodation

Hotels in Bali are renowned for being luxury status, though you can certainly find a generous range of accommodation on this friendly island. From budget one-room guest houses owned by ex-pats to 5-star resort suites, you can always find something that meets your needs on Bali when you book with Many Bali hotels boast water access, lush grounds, and amenities from pools to private drivers.

    Travel Basics

If you’re planning a trip to Bali, bear in mind that October through March is the rainy season. To avoid getting caught in monsoon conditions, play it safe and book from May through September. If you’re minding your budget on your holiday, avoid booking a room during Easter week or the Chinese New Year in February, when hotel rates increase.

There are a few important etiquette rules to remember in Bali. Dress modestly if you enter a local temple, which includes covering your arms. Smoking is prohibited in most public areas here, and travellers should stick to bottled water. The ice supply has quality-control oversight from the local government, however, and is typically safe for tourists.

A trip to Bali is always a good idea, whether you are out for a family holiday or getaway with your friends. Find your next Bali accommodation right here on, where you will always find the best deal and the largest selection of accommodation. Bali is calling your name, so book today and get ready for your next great adventure.
