"the hotel is very quite and romantic"
where to start?! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived & they gave us their delicious welcome drinks, to walking in our gorgeous room over looking the river and infinity pool. the bed was so big and comfortable and the staff were very attentive and nice. Housekeeping would come clean the room twice a day and the breakfast buffet had a big selection to choose from. In the end the hotel was gorgeous, with trees everywhere and water tinkling all over you felt relaxed anywhere you were at. Oh and definitely try the spa its huge and very relaxing. we will be coming back to this hotel whenever we are in bali again.

"Great escape experience out of urban life"
Before staying at Hanging Gardens of Bali, I thought this type of facilities were only for honeymooners but I was wrong. Ubud is the best town for my family and Hanging Gardens made us even feel more comfortable and recovered from our everyday hectic life.

We love this hotel, and Ubud too!!! First time in Bali and we are rating overall experience A+! Got upgraded to the private pool villa, and if I knew it was that nice, we would've book it initially, it is worth every penny.

"Simply Magic!"
We stayed 5 nights in early June 2015 in a pool villa. The villa was wonderfully presented from the well maintained garden and pool to the luxurious Balinese lounge, bedroom and bathroom. It was a wonderful treat being able to spend time in such a private and peaceful setting. We loved wandering around the resort's immaculate tropical gardens to the restaurant and infinity pool. The staff are proud to work at Pita Maha and were professional, attentive, polite and friendly. The service we received made us feel like royalty, that I think even if one just stayed at the Pita Maha without venturing out, the Pita Maha would be a holiday in itself. The resort is well located and there are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance from Pita Maha. We found the food at the Pita Maha was fabulous so we always had breakfast there and a couple of dinners. There is an hourly shuttle to and from Ubud town but this said, an early morning or evening stroll is really easy to do between the hotel and town. A slow stroll into town, looking at shops and taking photos took us 30 mins. One could easily walk it in 25 mins. If you can't afford a pool villa, the garden room villas are still wonderful and the infinity pool is so gorgeous that it would be tragic not to take a dip in it at least just once.

    Where to stay in Bali?

There is something so authentic and charming about Bali that many people never want to leave. From the warm vibe and rich cultural atmosphere to the incredible beaches, you won’t soon forget your next excursion to Bali, Indonesia. Highlights of this small island include adventure tours in Denpasar City, whitewater rafting in Sanur, and a bounty of resorts for any type of holiday.

Things to Do in the City

No matter what kind of lifestyle you like to lead, Bali offers an incredible number of activities to undertake during your stay on the island. The variety of ancient temples on Bali are a huge attraction for fans of history and culture, while the sprawling beaches are ideal for those just looking to relax. Additionally, there are tons of outdoor activities for eager explorers. Choose to embark on a boating expedition to Lovina for an up-close encounter with dolphins, or check out the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud for a once-in-a-lifetime experience among more than 600 long-tailed macaques.

A haven for wave-lovers, Bali is also home to some of the hottest surfing spots on the planet. This is especially true along the southern coast of the country, and in the waters off the Bukit Peninsula. If you love water, but hanging ten isn’t quite your style, grab a paddle and hit the rapids on a whitewater rafting trip down the western side of the Ayung River. And if you’re looking for an experience that’s a little less daunting, but every bit as fun, Waterbom Bali water park is an aquatic escape that’s a blast for the whole family.

    Weather

The balmy Bali climate is one of the most alluring aspects of this idyllic escape. As the island lies a mere 8 degrees south of the equator, temperatures remain tropical year-round, ranging from 20 to 33 degrees Celsius with an average humidity level of 85 percent. The mountainous middle of the country doesn’t get as warm as the coast, but it does enjoy more rainfall than the outlying areas. Bali’s dry season, which roughly runs from April to September, is peak time for tourists, though off-months can be quite nice as well. This holds true unless you’re staying in the mountains, where the temperature can drop substantially.

    Bali Hotels and Accommodation

Hotels in Bali are renowned for being luxury status, though you can certainly find a generous range of accommodation on this friendly island. From budget one-room guest houses owned by ex-pats to all inclusive Bali resorts, you can always find something that meets your needs when you book with Expedia.com.au. Many Bali hotels boast water access, lush grounds, and amenities from pools to private drivers.

    Travel Basics

If you’re planning a trip to Bali, bear in mind that October through March is the rainy season. To avoid getting caught in monsoon conditions, play it safe and book from May through September. If you’re minding your budget on your holiday, avoid booking a room during Easter week or the Chinese New Year in February, when hotel rates increase.

There are a few important etiquette rules to remember in Bali. Dress modestly if you enter a local temple, which includes covering your arms. Smoking is prohibited in most public areas here, and travellers should stick to bottled water. The ice supply has quality-control oversight from the local government, however, and is typically safe for tourists.

A trip to Bali is always a good idea, whether you are out for a family holiday or getaway with your friends. Find your next Bali accommodation right here on Expedia.com.au, where you can choose from over 2056 hotels. Bali is calling your name, so book today and get ready for your next Bali Holiday.
