“A bit disappointed...”

Although hotel has parking space close to it, it is not actually only for hotel guests. I had a bad luck arriving on the night that was a concert night in the Movie bar so the girl at the reception told me that she can do nothing about finding me a parking space. There were no new towels for each day and the ones provided were already flighty and bed smelling. There is no temperature regulator in the room. Good things are service in the bar area, free wifi and hotel location.

“Will not go back”

We arrived at the hotel and somehow found a way to get to the reception desk (at a pub called the Movie Bar, which was also the breakfast area, as we were later told). The receptionist was incredibly rude. There seemed to be a mistake with our bookings but it was as if it was OUR mistake (it was hers...). Even if it were our mistake, there's no justification for the throwing of cards onto the counter, the bored look on her face, and the general lack of care... Never mind that the rooms were in the back and that you had to cross a service yard to get to them, all you need after a long journey is some kindness, consideration and a hot shower (the latter we got)...

“worked for me”

I have only two complaints - 1. I ordered a double room even though I am only one so that I could get a double bed but what I got was 2 single beds. A double bed would have made my stay much better. 2. The breakfast buffet was mainly eggs, meat, cheese and cornflakes along with bread. I can't eat eggs or bread and found the meat and cheese too heavy for the morning. So I had the cereal option of corn flakes. If you like or can eat the others then the breakfast buffet was good.

“like they say in russian: klasno... classy”

a great deal in zagreb, where all the hotels are overpriced.. there is something special almost night at the pub, which also happens to be the lobby. the decoration of the rooms, the whole concept is really great. there was no internet in the room but the lady, who was the boss, moved to a better room when i spoke to them.. and that made everything just perfect.. i would recommend this hotel to anyone who will be in zagreb for business or pleasure.. the only problem might be the noise of the traffic but it did not bother me coz the noise of the traffic in the city i'm from is a lot higher than any place in zagreb...

“November 2010”

Great hotel, extrememly nice staff, and the receptionist was excellent in helping me find destinations on the map and choosing the right tram!! Most of the staff spoke english quite well. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to friends. There is an elevator that looks a little old and run down. I wasn't very confident in it so I always took the stairs.

“We'd Stay There Again!”

The Movie Hotel was located in very convenient area. The "Tram" had a stop right in front of the hotel so getting around was very easy. They had a sidewalk cafe/coffee shop out front and it was very nice. Their restaurants had a nice inexpensive menu. The rooms were clean and nice. We stayed in the "annex" where the rooms were not air-conditined. They were a bit warm at night but did have a large window that could be opened. We would stay there again but would spend the extra money to be in the main hotel that had air-conditioned rooms. The entire staff was great and they all spoke at least some English.

“Good Hotel thats close to everything”

Great hotel to stay in. Friendly staff, good service, cosy rooms (stayed in the room - 8 nights, plus the apartment - 2 nights), great food in pub, not noisey, rooms are very clean. Overall a beaut stay. Tram is located at the front door and tickets can be bought next door at the kiosk, very handy. City is a 5 to 10 minute commute, not far at all.
