“Great location, nice room, very clean, helpful staff.”

This hotel was in a great part of the village, located within walking distance to the lifts, close to the marketplace and yet quiet at night. The room was spacious, clean, well equiped and the staff was very courteous & helpful.

“Deer Lodge of Resort Quest at town center”

The condo was about 12 minutes walk from the lift as we expected. The room had a good view of the main pedestrian walkway and close to restaurant and shops. We had maid service one day out of 5 which was ok for us. The fold out sofa bed was not the most comfortable but overall we were pleased.

“Whistler in winter”

There is no direction where the hotel is from the main street- it is inside the strip so the check- in location is different where the resort is- another puzzlle Parking is so tight, we parked at the handicapped parking and a hit and run possibly big truck hit our truck that cause our truck to get dented and damage the back passenger tail gate, we discover it an hour after leaving the place. The hotel gave us 2 keys, one is not working. The resort is roomy but the remote control is not working. The insulation is bad because for 2 days out of 4 days, at night everything that the top floor from us does, we hear it - did not sleep that good but whistler is amazing by itself.

“Needs attention to detail”

Dishwasher was broken. Promise to fix never materialized. Chair in living room also broken (missing leg). Remote control for TV batteries almost dead. Little things, but they add up. After a few days, they get on your nerves.

“Do not stay overnight at Whistler Village.”

The location of the condo was good, however, the noise at night created by several young, drunk people totally unacceptable. We stayed there for 4 nights and this mess at night was there every night. Sometimes as long as up to 3 am. The locals are aware with the problem but they are not capable to fix it. Police did not intervene. As per local newspaper it is dangerous to walk there during the night. A man has been beaten recently by a gang of young people.

“Slightly Disappointed”

Not the first time we satyed at this property. But the unit we had was a bit below our expectation. There was no air conditionoing in the unit and the weekend we were there was hot. Only one old 17inch television set for a 2 bedroom unit. 4 of the 6 table/floor lamps were w/o light bulbs. To my understanding, this was an owner time-share unit that did not have the usual hotel decorum or amenities. However, the unit was clean.

“Look elsewhere!”

Unit 415 at Deer Lodge Good location if you want to be close to all the activities. Comfortable floor plan, nice view from the living room and the balcony. A bit noisy as it is right on the village stroll (expected as per many poster's reviews). What was really disappointing was the condition of the condo. Overall cleanliness was far below standard with dirt and dust staring at us from edges of baseboards, doors and wall plates. Both internal doors had broken handles so you couldn't close the bathroom door and the bedroom door knob would fall out. The bedroom closet doors were trying to derail every time you touch them. The venetian blinds in all windows look very tired and bend out of shape from years of abuse. Finally, the bathtub drains slower then the shower head delivers, so you end up showering in standing water. One other thing worth mentioning is the condition of the communal hot tub. We looked, and we left - you can actually see the stuff growing around the serves....gross. In short, look elsewhere traveller. There are many accommodation choices in Whistler. I've stayed in 5 different places in here over the years and this is so far the worst choice.
