“Can't wait to go back!!”
We found the Flacon Hotel to be an absolute joy! From cream teas served in the garden to the great meals in the pub, we loved every minute of our stay. I cannot think of any place in Stratford that is more convienient or comfortable. Then, of course, there is the absolutely beautiful older section of the hotel where we often settled in for a cup of tea and a good book. Our ten days, spanning all of the Shakespeare events, the reopening of the RSC's new theatre, a literary conference, and the Royal Wedding, absolutely flew. I cannot wait to go back.
“In the heart of Stratford”
Nice hotel, very well located, free wi-fi. Really would recommend it.
“Nice, but one elevator”
Despite the room problem, we were in the old section of the hotel overlooking one of the Shakespeare properties. Also, the included continental breakfast was very nice with lots of choices!
“fantastic High St location”
Our room was in the High street-facing newer building rather than in the older section which was a bit of a shame, but the room itself was very spacious with a huge, spotless bathroom. Not a budget option but worth every penny.
“Good value, location, etc.”
Spent 3 nights here in August 2009. This was the largest room of any we stayed in during our vacation in England. It came with breakfast plus free parking. Excellent close-in location. Professional staff. Good price. Locals in the bar helped us understand The Ashes Cricket Tournament. Americans should feel comfortable here. We enjoyed it. Great value.
“Old home weekend”
It was like coming home, albeit a newly renovated home, since I've stayed at The Falcon for a week, as part of a large group, for years. This time it was for a long weekend, and I was only with a few friends. Breakfast, which was included, was lovely; the food was good; fresh fruit is always a plus. I love the old section of the hotel, and the charm was still there, even though the bathroom was modernized (I now had a shower, which I prefer). I would be happy to stay there again.

Like the room and the service at the Falcon. The restaurant food was good and the wait staff were very helpful.
