“Charming and Great Location”

The location of the hotel is very convenient if you are renting a car, which I would highly recommend. There is a shopping center close by with a grocery store and other conveniences. The room had a very small fridge but was sizable enough to store some yogurts and cheese for breakfast in the mornings. The hotel staff are friendly but they try to get you to eat at the hotel restaurant every chance they get which is very expensive. The decor of the room was very charming and generously sized for a European room. The bathroom was also very large with a separate shower, jacuzzi tub and toilet room. Good quality toiletries and well maintained fixtures. Several nights, the guests next to us came in very late at night and made quite a raucous which woke us but otherwise, the neighborhood shuts down fairly early in the evening. We hung the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door during the day since we'd rather them not clean the room and to help lower the risk of theft. However, they did not heed the sign and cleaned our room against our wishes every day. It seems petty but if you say you don't want people in your room when you're gone, then the hotel should respect that. Overall, I would stay here again, myself and also recommend to others travelling in the Avignon area.

Area recommendations

Avignon City Center is a great visit but driving and parking can be tricky and/or expensive. Be sure to look into the many smaller restaurants around Les Halles which offer delicious ingredients chosen fresh each day from the famous market. Chateauneuf de Pape is only a 25 minute drive away and is a truly wonderful taste of the wine culture that France has to offer. A must see!

“An Idealic French retreat”

This is the perfect place to base your travels in Provence. Totally friendly and accomodating staff, beautiful grounds with pool, lovely dining room supervised by charming and humorous, Gilbert. We always looked forward to returning here after long days of sight seeing ! The only possible downside is that a car is totally necessary. There is a small village with food store, but no real restaurants or shopping in walking distance.

Area recommendations

Easy access to all touristic places , Le Pont du Gard, Le baux de Provance, St Remy de Provence, hilltop villages, Avignon, etc.
