“Good quality hotel in a great location for Central Railway station.”

If you need a good quality hotel in close proximity to Sydney Central railway station, then this is a good choice. Perhaps a little bit pricy for what you get, but it is a comfortable, clean, and safe hotel for this area.

“Pretty average”

The hotel itself is in a lovely old building in a good location (although a fair walk to Circular Quay and other main attractions), however it is in need of some tlc. Our room was pretty run down and could have been cleaner. The bed was ok but the pillows were terrible, no spare ones were provided and none of us had a good nights sleep the first night because of this. We had extra provided the 2nd night but these too were terrible and didn't make much difference. I probably wouldn't stay here again, the value for money wasn't great and I would prefer to be more central to Circular Quay etc next time.

“Last minute lifesaver”

We arrived at Medina after problems with our previously booked accommodation. They were so polite and accommodating. We arrived at 10.30am and were able to leave the car and luggage safely stored while we went to have fun. Our first surprise was when we came back to pick up the luggage and found it had already been placed in our room for us and then discovered the extra bed that we needed had been put in and made ready for us - we are so used to having to make the extra bed ourselves! I'm sure some would see all this as normal but for us as a family with young kids it was out of our normal experience. Overall we had a wonderful time and found it to be in a great position, within walking distance of so many of the tourist attractions that were were keen to see. The kids also loved the swim in the pool. Even though it was quite cool outside, the pool was comfortably warm even for the parents! A great time had by all. Thanks.

“Very comfortable”

They only problem we had was they wanted to charge us $50.00 a night for the cot we used. We booked 3 people in the room and we got a room with 1 king bed and 1 cot. We had no choice but to use the cot. When we complained about it they didn't charge us but we feel since we told them how many people were in the room there shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. They certainly didn't tell us they were going to charge us for it or we have requested another room. In the end they let it go so all was well.

“Great Location”

Our two bedroom, two bathroom apartment was very well priced during their markdown special. Was pleasantly suprised with the spaciousness of our rooms, including the bathrooms. Kitchen equipped with all essential items and a short stroll to the Central Station where Light Rail and direct rail access to city was easy. Would recommend this apartment for any families requiring short term accommodation!

Area recommendations

Any hotel within the inner city as most places are within walking distance or transport stops.

“Deifinitely recommend. Will be going back for sure.”

Great hotel in close proximity to Central train station and bus stop. Busy area but we did not experience any street noise at all. Room was serviced every day, even our girls pillows and teddy bears were put in place on their beds! Plenty of the usual places across the road to grab something to eat. We will definitely stay there again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Basic customer service lacking”

Getting information out of the staff, was like pulling teeth. Basic customer service training is needed for all the staff we dealt with. Even checking in, we felt we were intruding! Very different experience to our last Medina stay which was at the Adina on Crown Street (also in Sydney).

Catch the ferry to Manly - a much better experience than going to Bondi

“Great location, friendly staff and fantastic value”

What a great five days in Sydney at the Medina Executive Apartments, The staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean and plenty big enough. The best thing about it though, was it's location - right next to Central Station, yet still vey quiet. A good holiday all round - thank you Medina staff.

“tim-tam”

Very impressive. We arrived at lunchtime due to our flight and half expected that we would not be able to check in until 2pm, but were pleasantly surprised to be relaxing in our room immediately after a swift check in. Staff were very courteous and helpful as it was our first time in Sydney and very grateful that they could hold our bags on checkout as we had a late afternoon flight. Room was very clean and impressed that it was serviced daily, something that doesn't always happen. Would thoroughly recommend it and would definitely stay again.
