“Highly Recommended”
Great hotel! Staff is friendly and there was always an English speaker available. Rooms are clean. Mattresses are very firm, which I love. Food is good. Location is good. Most of all, the prices are fantastic! There were some problems with the plumbing. Plumbers stopped by a couple times during my 1 week stay. It didn't bother me though. I plan on staying at this hotel again and highly recommend it.
“Breakfast at Tiffany”
Easy to get to. Easy to acces the subway. Helpful staff. Airport Bus 6010 stops at the Riviera Hotel, a 5 minute walk down the street. And it's great for the return trip to the airport. The subway is a 3 minute walk away, and the Seoul Subway has directions in English and is cheap and easy to navigate. I ate Korean food outside the hotel, but began each day with the adequate American breakfast at the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, and the heating/AC and the tv worked fine. My only hestation to recommend it is a tongue-in-cheek one: I don't want it to become overly popular; I'd like it to be available for my next trip to Seoul. (Only negative comment: difficult to acces plugs to charge phone, etc.)
“I'll definitely stay again.”
The hotel staff is very helpful and they really try their best to understand the needs of the customer. The most important thing, they can speak English. The location is just a few meters to the train station (though you still have to walk a long way to the train station gate). But the price is very reasonable and really value for money. I don't mind traveling for more than 30 minutes to go to the center of Seoul where almost all interesting places to visit are located. If you arrive late, don't expect to have dinner available though. But, there is a convenience store just around the corner of the hotel. I will definitely stay again the next time I visit Seoul.
“Hotel clerks are willing and able to assist.”
The phone conversation before the trip was extremely helpful. Afterwards, the clerk I talked to over the phone sent me an email about the location and map of the hotel. With this info, I found the hotel without any problem even I did not speak Korean language.
“Tiffinay Tourist is Terrific”
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful! They warmly greeted me every morning as I left the hotel, and night when I returned. They could speak English very well! They were also very understanding and kind. In addition to explaining how to take the subway (which is directly outside the hotel along with a bus stop), they even showed me things like which container labeled in Korean was the soap and which was the shampoo. They also taught me how to use the pay phone, and even let me use the phone at the front desk, as well as the internet there for free. Each day they also gave me free bottled water in the fridge in my room. The hotel is also very close to the river, where you can enjoy a nice walk with fresh air as you take in the beauty of the city. I would highly recommend this hotel!
“great place and location!!!”
Close to subway and COEX mall. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They seemed to understand english and tried hard to practice it. Bed was a little hard and the room was hot, but this is standard in most places in Seoul. Would definately recommend.
“comfort and convenient”
located in the city central but in comfort leisure style
“Perfect fit”
Stayed for a week and overall was perfect for what I was looking for. Cheap, clean, and exactly as advertised. Took 6006 bus to COEX where there was some confusion on my part since I didn't realize that COEX is huge, part mall, conference center, train terminal. I ended up taking a taxi to the hotel, and as others have posted, nobody had heard of it. But Seoul is huge so it's not unrealistic to not have heard of every single hotel out there, it'd be like knowing every hotel in New York City. I highly advise obtaining printed map with directions in Korean prior to arriving. Make sure you specify a room with Internet if you need it. Not all rooms have it, wireless only works in the lobby & diner. Check in was a breeze just signed a form and was handed a key which I took off the huge tag it was attached to. Room was clean, 2 water bottles in the mini-frig and a decent TV. Shower water was interesting and took a while to get a consistent temperture water but I quickly figured it out. Only complaint was the hard bed but after 10 days of Shanghai beds I was used to it. Front desk was invaluable and spoke enough English to understand me asking them to write down in Korean names of places I wanted to see. Most of the staff was very friendly and made me feel at ease. The diner food was decent. Location is good, near the subway and never a problem getting a taxi. If you only need a nice place to crash and want to be reasonably close to most of Seoul, this is perfect.
“Good place to stay”
The staff were helpful and friendly. They spoke English and were able to help us with locating places we were interested in going to. We would stay there again if we go to Seoul.
“good hotel”
Good location near the COEX shopping center and the "Chong dam" subway line. You get what you pay for. This is a nice hotel but it is not like the Riviera Hotel across the street. It is simple and comfortable. Free internet and a nice restaurant down stairs with good prices.
