“Hidden treasure”

Parkhotel is tucked up into the hills above the Rhein river on a quiet street with scenic views. The hotel restaurant serves great food and there are still enough restaurants and bakeries around for variety. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Nearby bus & train service made for easy travel without a rental car. For a relaxing getaway, Parkhotel is a great choice.

Area recommendations

Eltville is the nearest town on the Rhein with train station and a K-D river cruise stop. One can easily go day tripping up and down the famous "middle Rhein" from Mainz to St. Goar from this location.

When to go

In September the weather is fair and the Octoberfest festivities are starting to kick off.

Getting there

You can use the S-Bahn lines to get from the main airport/city out to the area. Schlangenbad requires transfering to an IR train and getting off in Eltville. A $2 Euro fair from the train station will drop you off near the Parkhotel or a $15 Euro taxi ride will get you to the door.

Getting around
