Rustic GetawayPosted 05/08/2012 on Hotels.com
We had a great stay at the Rusticae Torre. Although it looked a little far on the map, it was very easy to get to. Very convenient for our tour from Barcelona through Costa Brava to San Sebastian. The hotel is in a cute, small town (population 80). A perfect, peaceful spot if you're looking to get away from the crowds and experience a small town in Spain with beautiful surroundings. The staff was great - very personable and accommodating. Our favorite hotel on our 8 day tour of Spain. Highly recommend!

We loved it!Posted 26/07/2012
Hotel Rusticae Tore Laurentii is a beautifully renovated medieval stone building nestled within a small, welcoming medieval village. The village itself is in the foothills of the Pyrenees and is surrounded by forests; a great base for hiking or simply somewhere to rest and relax. The hotel provides lots of room to relax both on the spacious verandas and in the garden, which is lovingly maintained. The village square is only a few steps away and provides all of the charm of Catalonian village life. We stayed in a superior room, which was incredibly spacious. The bathroom was vast and included a very large open shower as well as a jacuzzi bath. There were stone floors throughout which help to keep the rooms cool - the owners provide slippers! The windows and doors have beautiful wooden shutters. We stayed during the height of summer and although there is no air-conditioning (the whole hotel is sympathetic to the environment) we always felt cool and comfortable in our room. The hotel runs its own restaurant and provides a 3 course dinner for an impressive 25Euros. The food is cooked by the owners and is of a very high standard - it isn't pretentious, it is simple, really well-cooked, and truly enjoyable. The continental breakfast is lovely, and is complemented by homemade jams and olive oil of the highest quality. The hotel is run by Stephan and Cristina. They are perfect hosts and went above and beyond what anyone would expect to make our stay memorable and enjoyable.

What a superb getaway!Posted 14/06/2012 on Hotels.com
I would struggle to find anything at all wrong with this hotel, fantastic situation in an idyllic village in the hills. Great food, secure free parking, peace and quiet, yet lots to do. We definitely plan to go again.

Excellent hotel!Posted 09/04/2012 on Hotels.com
My son and I visted this hotel in the Spring. The owners have excellent taste and were very hospitable. My Spanish is not brilliant and it was therefore very useful that the owners speak English. We arrived on a walking holiday without a map of the area (forgot!) however we were given instructions on some brilliant walks around the area. The food was really excellent and the rooms very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Be aware the village is medieval and very small but there were a few other places to eat as well. I would thoroughly recommend.
