“Need a car”

Beautiful setting, incredible views, but a headache without a car to get into the city. Hotel could use a makeover, but overall a very good experience.

“Good Experience, not Great”

Hotel Staff were very friendly and courteous. Hotel seems a bit outdated though. A lot of things seemed to be dated about 20 years back. Things like plastic patio chairs on the balcony make you wonder why you're paying so much for the room. Great location for a view. Poor location for being near the beach or anything else in the city, even though the cable car going down to town is a great deal and pretty cheap. The small carnival-like atmosphere that surrounds the hotel took away from it with all of its rides and games, etc. Was confused when I got there of where I should go to check in because of so many people walking around. The pool was hard to find as well (entrance is between 3rd and 4th floor) but finally had to ask the staff for it. Nice pool though. All in all, was a nice, clean place but could be better.

Area recommendations
I recommend the beach. Culture, scenery, recreation all come together there.
