“Affordable home base while in town.”

If you are looking for a hotel to be a luxurious part of your vacation, get out your wallet and pay a lot more than this for it. If you are looking for an affordable, pleasant, safe, clean, comfortable, family-run motel to be your home base, while you play around town, this is a great choice. It is in a quiet, residential neighborhood, a 10-minute walk up & down a slight hill, to the vibrant shopping/dining/ historic mission district. Not having to get in the car, drive, park.... was so relaxing. At this price, you expect and accept a few condition issues (cracked ceiling in bthrm, old funky drawers in bath cabinet- but were you really going to use them?) The A.C. worked great on a hot night. The shower is sizable and heats up with good water pressure; The T.V. is new; the fridge kept our farmers' market food fresh; the bed was huge and cozy. I'll be coming back.

“Bargain hotel family trip”

It served it's purpose for traveling on a budget. It was not horrible but wasn't fantastic either.

“Overpriced old motel”

Over-priced, old motel. They still use regular key to get into the room, and our key doesn't even work, the lady came to help us open the door and said we have to yank the key hard to open it, otherwise we can call them again! Everything inside the room is old and outdated. It is clean enough to just for 1 night sleep. The bathroom was in terrible shape. rust and mold grew along the frame of the shower door and the window of the bathroom. The sink drainage is yucky. Part of the shower door was broken so it took sometime to close the door.

“This was a motel and it did not have the frig, coffee pot that we requested .”

This was not one I'd go back to. Took forever for the hot water to come on in the shower and at the sink to wash your face and brush your teeth. I requested a coffee pot and frig. and they said when we checked in they don't have that and couldn't understand why expedia told us that in the first place. The only thing that this place had going for them it was quite for being near the highway. It was suppose to have a iron broad and iron and that didn't even exist. Was not impressed at all.

“not impressed”

The shower was dirty; I cut my foot on a piece of tile sticking up and the floor felt like you could fall through at any moment. Not worth the money.

“Worst hotel we've stayed at in SLO”

The carpet smelled like urine. Everything is outdated. No phone, no clock, no TV remote. We will never stay there again!

“A dreadful mistake”

dreadful- it obviously once was nice - any spare space in the outside area is filled with old furniture and junk. The cabin smelt of damp, and the shower cubical was disgusting, and the door did not shut properly. The window to the bathroom did not lock in place. If I had been there on my own I would not have felt safe. There was no iron or board, or hairdryer. There was no coffee maker, and when we asked about it we were told there was coffee in the office between 8am and 10am. This amounted to polystyrene cups, with no lids. Hard work juggling two whilst opening doors -my husband spilt coffee down his trousers the first morning-this did not add to his mood.We were given a pre-packed muffin each to go with it. The beds were comfortable, but the sheets, although clean, were really very rough dry. There was no spare toilet roll- a small matter but added to the rest was very annoying. The floor was very uneven under the carpet which made you feel you could fall through. We have been travelling around California for few weeks staying at various motels but this was by far the worst, and one of the more expensive.
