As the only hotel located directly on Fisherman's Wharf, the Radisson is a prime location for visiting Pier 39, the world famous Cable Cars, and Ghirardelli Square. Fisherman's Wharf offers a plethora of dining options from casual to fine dining all located within 6 blocks of the hotel. Casual dining is offered from 4 onsite restaurants: The International House of Pancakes, Johnny Rockets, Hot Spud and The Original Soup Man (these restaurants are independently owned and operated). In room dining is available for lunch and dinner from Gino's Pizza and More featuring Pasta and Pizza's.

Numerous recreation activities are located nearby including sailing, biking, segway, and fishing. Provided at the Radisson Hotel Fisherman's Wharf are a year-round outdoor pool surrounded by a sundeck, and a 24-hour fitness room with cardio equipment and free weights. One block away is the waterfront embarcadero, a popular place for running, skating, and walking in the fresh sea air. A full service 24 hour health club is located 1 block from the hotel (fee applies).

“Great Location but bit shabby”

Very well located at Fisherman's wharf which made eating out quite easy. Several things broken in the room and very little space around beds. Beds had some weird blow up adjustment and not very comfortable. OK for short stay only.

Area recommendations

Fisherman's Wharf was a great location to stay and there are several hotels in the area. For a family of 5 however, there were not too many choices to get us all in the same room.

“An OK hotel”

The room was clean and the service was fine. It was noisy for a short time each evening that I was there as people came and went from their rooms. It is right at the Fishermans Warf so if thats your thing it us well located, It was a $10 taxi ride to Union Square or a $6 trolly ride. The room and hotel are showing their ages. The bed was OK but not the most comforatable Ive slept in, I stayed there primarily becuase the price was right.

“beyond my expectations”

You cant beat the location, it is close to everywhere. Its old already but there is plan of renovation anytime. They allowed us to check in early and check out late, for at least an hour which is really great deal. Get the courtyard room because I saw in other reviews that ite tends to be noisy . I love their bed and pillows. It exceeded my expectations in a best way.

Gary Danko is close to the area if you want fine dining. Go to crab house for their good crabs and tr also crab station for a cheaper prices. Dont miss the Farmers market at ferry building every Tues, Thurs and Sat. Nice place to eat slanted door, Boulevard, boudin., rotunda at neiman marcus, la folie, burger joint, house of prime rib, stinky rose

“Excellent service and location.”

The service was excellent! We asked to change rooms because the hallway of our original room smelled of cigarette smoke (which turned out to be from contractors who were working in the hallway). We were immediately changed to a different room. The rooms aren't terribly spacious, but are clean and comfortable. Restaurants and other convenience stores are within easy walking distance, as are transit stops and a cable car turn-around. If you like to walk (we do), you don't even need public transportation. You can walk to the Golden Gate Bridge, downtown, the Coit Tower, Lombard Street, etc.

“Right place / Right TIme”

The hotel from the outside is not much to look at, but the room was nice. We did have a small problem with the AC unit, but once I called they took care it right away. In less then 5 minutes. The hotel is so close to Fisherman's Wharf, that the fish could jump I'm your bed. My family had a great time in San Fran we would love to come back some day. And if we do, we will more than likely stay here again. The weather was fantastic and our location to everything was just perfect. Have a great time, and don't forget to say Hi to Al Capone on Alcatraz.

Area recommendations

There is so much to see and do I really don't know where to start. The entire city is beautiful and everyone was so nice and helpful. There are many tourist in the city so don't be surprised if people think your a local. We had a blast in China Town, many gift shops to shop from. Never pay retail. You can usually work the prices down a few dollars or in some cases a lot of dollars. The wharf is a great place to hang out and have fun with the family. A lot of nice shops and places to eat. There is a great and fantastic thing you should do. That is to go on Mr. Toads City Tours of San Fran. The tour are worth every penny. They take you everywhere and show many parts of the city. Places you'll never go to because as a tourist you just don't know where to go. I recommend that you take the tour on the first day. That way you'll know where you would want to explore in more detail. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..

Getting around

We bought the all day pass for the trolly and cable cars. It can be worth it if you use it right and plan your day trips with the routes close to your destinations. If not, it may quicker and cheaper just to go by taxi. The taxi drivers are professional nascar drivers. The fly through traffic with no problem. Just wear your seat belt and you should be ok.

“Need to think about pro and con for staying in this hotel”

It's very convenient. The hotel is right on the Beach street on Fisherman Wharf. It's walking distance to all the attractions to pier 39....even to China Town (only 20 mins walk) No other hotel is convenient than this one. The hotel facility is definitely old. We stay in the standard King room facing the street. The window seems no isolation. It's very noisy at night with all the buses especially the Trolly passing by. You really feel you sleep on the street although we are on the top floor(4th). But this is the only downside of staying in this hotel if you are not lucky and get the room facing the street. Overall, the front desk and information desk people are very nice and polite. we didn't try the restaurant since there are so many restaurant on the street. we had good vacation in SFO.

Area recommendations

Pier 39-19 at Fisherman's Wharf is very nice sight seeing place. There are a lot to see. Restaurants are all very good. Golden Gate, Alcatraz, Pioneer Square and china town and Lombard street. These are all in walking distance.

“Radisson Review”

Great location for visit to San Francisco. Easy access to tours, museums, and activities. Had sleep number bed and duvet cover. Heated pool, firepit. Lots of restaurants and food venders nearby.

Area recommendations

I just always prefer the Warf Area. Don't really go for shopping.
